  • The NSX sound at 7:06-7:08 sounds absolutely amazing. However, he downshifted a bit too early to the second gear in order to take over the Lamborghini. But, that downshift is what caused the NSX to overheat.

  • Man the old guy in the NSX is no Joke! He technically has half the power of the Lamborghini, but was able to keep up.

  • it's not an M3 it's the CSL.

    The CSL is even faster than the F430 on the nurburgring! It should be on of the fastest here. CSL gets almost 1.5g in the corners!

  • i don't think it's just that they favour them. the NSX-R simply is that good handling. but there is one thing that may favour the japanese cars, and it's that the drivers are more familiar with them than the european cars. plus, i wouldn't be so confy crashing a 200,000 supercar... bet they also aren't.

    PS: the camaro would have spun out in the first lap trying to catch up.

  • I love lambos and the NSX is a masterpiece, but Ferrari's don't suck. How can you compare a 360 modena with those 2 lambo. Obviously, this lambos are better. Compare the F50 vs Murcielago and the F430 vs Gallardo. You'll see that Ferrari's are better even that both are very expensive.

  • The HSC (Honda Sports Concept) has been revealed as the NSX replacement. None the less, the NSX-R and the NSX are two totally different cars. The NSX-R is basically a track day special similar to the 360 CS, GT3 RS, and M3 CSL... The normal NSX is nothing close to that and would easily fall to the back of this back (hence BM's use of the NSX-R in most of their comparisons where an NSX is needed).

  • ur wrong, the point of honda R cars is not massive power increases but weight reduction and thats where the nsx-r's true power lies. reworked suspension is only a small part of this equation.

  • and the NSX could outrun from the Turbo or Modena because of manual gearbox and weight.Especially Porsche's tiptronic s sucks on this track This is a track for lightweight cars and obviously, on the straight Lambo's and Turbo use their extra horses. Although NSX has 290 horses it can beat Turbo and Modena because of the aluminum chassis and having no airbags, radio etc.

  • Honda has got the power. And it not a `simple` Honda, it has all aluminum chassis and mid engine for optimum balance. Which is Porsche or BMW does not have. So no one can call it a `simple` Honda. It was overheated because of the driver exceeded the redline when he brakes. It a car which is introduced 1989, it was soahead of its time. Go Honda!

It WAS faster, that's why it finished in front (thats how racing works by the way). You think the extra horse the 911 has helps the fact that it is an overweight fatboy?

  • Actually, the extremely stiff aluminum monocoque construction of the second-gen NSX-R is why it performed so well. Take a look at the track; Twin Ring Motegi is an extremely flat circuit with almost no banked gradients, perfect for GT500-esque stiffness characteristics. The Porsche is suited for European road types, such as the Nordschleife. Also, it's difficult to corner in switchbacks with its RR platform, especially at the double chicanes where the weight transfers are become unsettling.

  • Its the drivers..the Gallardo should of won...its made for the corners and the Murceilago is for straights.... the NSX is too slow so the braking is not as bad as the others...making it easy to turn corners at speeds....everyone else breaks harder...notice how the BMW and the NSX BREAK late...they shoot to the corner...so yup its the drivers...   • Sorry it aint the drivers, the fact is that the lighter NSXR out brakes everything there due to its lower weight. The Lambo's are fighting understeer most corners and are also being pushed hard. If you guys see the actual DVD of this whole eppisode of BMI they show all the measurements and stats of breaking distance etc. of the cars involved. The NSXR is a hugely under-rated car as it destroys big name euro cars often in this series

  • This video sucks. That is not a Ferrari Modena it's a Ferrari F430. Then, the F430 and 911 turbo are both faster cars then the Gallardo. But all much faster then the NSX-R. Much faster. So the final line up is a set up. Or the drivers can't drive.
