@tanner1ie The differences are: 1. Harry Potter has a moral, albeit a vague one... but it has one. 2. Meyer has absolutely no writing experience, Rowling actually worked at it. 3. Harry Potter incorporates fantasy-based themes decently, Twilight botches the original concept of the vampire. Personally, I hate teen lit... but I can give Rowling credit... she understands writing better than Meyer ever will.

Well, if you're going to base your opinion on the 2011 version of Dragon Tattoo on the Swedish, then you might as well take the book into account. In the book Mikelle barely even remembers that Harriet was his baby sitter. It is is not way the reason he takes the job. It remains true that he initially only cares about being helped with Wennerstrom. The Swedish version also incorporates things from the sequel novels in advance where Fincher omits them.

Guys, see the swedish girl-with-the-dragon-tattoo movie and/or read the books.

I'm not saying the new Millenium-Movie is bad but it really starts to piss me of, that Hollywood

copies every swedish(foreign) semi-successful movie [see also "Let the right one in"].

I can understand doing a remake of an old success, but making one of a recently released and successful one is just in-ur-face milking the cow (the cow of your naigbor btw).
