One of my chars is level 41 and a elder attacked luckily a lot of towns people were inside and just let me deal with it but...alvor....he never made it, he ran in front of me when i was blocking fire and got burned then kicked, i found his body drifting down the river towards the waterfall R.I.P Alvor :(

i think the dragons randomly appear because river wood in my game isnt a city anymore its a graveyard

Yesterday, I terrorized Riverwood with my powers as a werewolf... I killed everyone and than I ran away. A few moments later, back in human form, I saw a blood dragon attacking Riverwood. So Riverwood was attacked twice at the same time... That's what I call bad karma! XD

I searched everywhere and finally found his body by the river side.

I only ever visit Riverwood at night, so that if a dragon attacks (quite frequent) all the villagers are inside and it is just the guards outside which I don't care if they live or die. I fast travel to Whiterun, get on a horse and when I'm near Riverwood I fast-forward to midnight and investigate. Fast travelling straight to riverwood leaves characters outside. Killing a dragon with this method with a follower is too easy. Then if theres no dragon I fast forward again and hammer the shops :D

Do dragons hate riverwood or something? because it always is riverwood that gets attacked for me, its happened 3 times now and I've lost sven and sigrd in the attacks and almost her husband alvor too.

I have ben attacked by guards during the dark brotherhood quest. Then a ice dragon joined the game, then an earth elemental and a horse, then 2 wolf. This was an epic free for all that almost make the game crash ( because im on ps3)

I had a random dragon attack in Windhelm. I heard all the guards say to everyone get inside. Then he killed some random old woman. I pick-pocketed her and no one noticed. She had a gold necklace worth 1200 gold, thank you dragon.

i love the way dragons randomly attack towns. and the way NCPs react is just so realistic. i am level 23 and i have JUST done the first main quest where you kill the dragon. i have been doing side quests because i was scared of triggering the dragon spawns lol. my Secone Ever dragon just appeared, when i was just leaving riverwood trader after agreeing to marry camilla. i walked out and when i was just about to travel to the wedding guy i heard these noises. i thought: "oh shit!"

When a blood dragon attacked me in Riverwood, Alvor ran at the dragon with a warhammer or battle axe. The dragon attacked back about two times then grabbed him in its mouth shook him and threw him off somewhere. Later after killing a theif I dragged his body to the river running through Riverwood and found Alvors body was up on the shore, and no one cared that he died! It was quite entertaining a funny, but rest in peace Alvor.

When this happened to me a put all of the dead guards in the river. But it was sad because Stump the dog died.

I wish the weaker non-combat town citizens would actually run into their homes or run for cover somewhere and cower in fear from a dragon like in the live action trailer, instead of trying to fight the thing. I had to reload a save several times because 3 stupid town folks kept charging an elder dragon with their iron daggers, and kept getting 1-shotted.

this dragon scared me half to death when it appeared for me XD in the beginning of the game when you go there, i saw this dude across the river trying to blast fireballs at me. so after getting the first shout and stuff, i went exploring over there to fight him. its perfectly quiet and then all of a sudden i'm being blasted by ice! there was no warning. i fought him for a bit on that side of the river and then he attacked the village. he killed stump (the dog) and sigrid!!
