well its spel tuatara and the tuatara is one of 2 species left i the Sphenodontia family all the rest of the animals in this family died out about 60 million years ago. both species are native to new zealand and are commonly misconcepted as lizards when in actualy fast they are Sphenodontias

Hey! for the reptile groups i thought it was snakes and lizards (in one group), tautara, tortilia and crocodilians...could you please tell me why im wrong or whatever...

well i assume tautara and tortilia are turtles and tortoises and so they go into the chelonia family, lizards and snakes cant be in one group as well there 2 separate tpyes of reptile and then obviously crocodilians are aswell

but im not total sure on the tautara and tortilia thing altho if that is turtles and tortoise it doesnt make sense as there is a group they both apply to which is chelonia

I am certain that the tautara is its own family...its the last of its group. (thats a fact) Then i read somewhere that snakes and lizards are categorized together...heh maybe we should look into this more...

aye well if tautara is a group then theres 5 cos im pretty sure snakes and lizards dont go together i mean if ya think about it it doesnt make sense to put them together there completly different types of animals apart from the fact that there both reptiles
