You can hav a much better clearings and can travel much faster on high speeds if u do this quickly( try to do this in less then 4 seconds): gear down twice then up gear ONCE.( i am a initial d 3 noob but i learned this from my cousin and if i can do it, so can you)=)
At the Horseshoe hairpin directally after CP1 would it be more efficient to feint that? it seams like you'd be able to have more control through the next few turns and less chance of grazing the wall
also do you think you could achieve this in an unmodded car? The machine at my Arcade hasent been fixed in a year and a half so i'm stuck without my car =/
The RX-8 is much faster on CP1. The RX-8 can do 41"24x and maybe it can do 41"21x with perfect driving and a perfect machine. The Evo 5 can only do a low 41"4xx which is 0.2 slower than RX-8 but Evo 5 is much faster than the RX-8 in CP2, CP3 and CP4.
Well, Taromisaki must have made a mistake because KTJ* did a faster CP2 than Taro in this video. KTJ* was using the RX-8 which is slower than the Evo 5 in CP2.
Rx-8 is only slightly slower but picks up speed after the consec S turns.
Though u may not see it... There is a wall tap during the turn after cp1. He TST but the back end of the car slightly tapped the wall which he lost speed in. ITS REALLY hard to tell whether he hit it or not, but based on my experience, it shows a wall tap at the results after the run. Even i dont think I hit it... but I do =/ why my time only 2'38'2 with Rx-8 <-- newb xD
gundamboi is right. As my experience of trying E5 @ tsuchizaka, its much more slide that other car. Taro must have tapped the wall in this video cuz he even uses TST

The +0.1 in CP2 doesn't really matter because Taromisaki'a 2'36"774 was more than +0.1 faster than this time. It was 0.121 faster.
