Rin was a planned Vocaloid, and Len was a mistake made by throwing off rin's voice too low. It was never intended for there to be 2 of them. Since they weren't announced as anything definite, they are flexible and can be shown as either lovers, or twins/siblings. Hope this helped anyone.

They're not really twins. They can be, if you want, since they're not real but... Umm...
Kagamine means 'mirror sound', so they're 'twins' in the way that they're the same person, practically. ^^; But some people like the forbidden love aspect, so... Yeah. ^^'

well it all depends on the vid and song. in some they ar portrayed as twins and in others they are not. but i totally agree with you! they aren't twins but images of each other.

I like to think of them as both. I mean, it all depends on the song. In some songs they do really well as twins and in others it just befits them to be lovers. Either way, the Kagamine's are by far my favorite vocaloids.
