  • definitely an oscar worthy contender

  • @NMRA I hid the message "NMRA is a clownbox" somewhere in a The Wikipedia article. Its accuracy has just increased ten fold plus two, according to my WikiAccuroMeter.

  • @JohnWoo99 OK, wanna show me another mistake then? Find something that isn't true. Because it really seems like you're suggesting everything on it is false, and that's a little funny.

  • @NMRA The very fact that you believe my statements on Wikipedia shows how gullible you are. Your opinions on Wikipedia, or any matter, are not to be trusted.

  • @JohnWoo99 I amn't believing anything actually. I don't even know what "statements" you think I believe.

  • @NMRA .You've knocked back a bottle of Web 2.0, followed by a Web 2.0.1 chaser, and now you're drunk as a lord on MyFace and SpaceBook, and you're vomiting twitteroeha all over The You Tubes. And it's messy. Very messy.

  • @JohnWoo99 listen, I just take every piece of information as it is and judge it individually. I can use logic and common sense well enough that I don't need to be like you and assume absolutely everything about everything is false.

  • @NMRA Man, that's too funny! Ok, I have to let you in on the joke, because it would be cruel to let you carry on.

I'm not actually John Woo. My nose isn't on my head, the Luminaire brothers didn't actually add in mountains in post-production. See where this is going?

Now, you're here arguing on The You Tubes with a fictitious John Woo about the accuracy of Wikipedia based on an obviously facetious comment. And you claim to be able to judge information with logic and common sense? Comedy gold!

  • @JohnWoo99 I never cared who you were. I never seen a john woo movie before and it doesn't matter. do any of my statements rely on you being "john woo"? you could be anonymous for all I care, you're wrong.

  • @NMRA I believe this is what the kids these days call an "Epic Fail" lol!!!1!!11oneone eleven!!11!

  • @NMRA Yeah, I've just checked Wikipedia. It's an "Epic Fail" all right.

  • Mdr j'ai pas compris le TGV au début.

    Pas mal

  • @kevinlol83 Je mange des poissons. Mais la porte disparaît également.

  • Is this the same John Woo? It's not in his wiki entry.

Wish it had been shot from the identical spot on the platform - where are the distant mountains?

  • Wes, this is the same John Woo - there's only one Woo! Don't tell me you trust wikipedia? The encyclopedia for idiots, by idiots .

As for the mountains, in the original, those were added by the Luminaire brothers in post-production. Don't believe everything you see in the cinema! Between this and the wiki comment, you seem very naive.

In my re-make, I wanted to capture the raw excitement of a train arriving at the station, without the artificial Hollywood effects of the original.

  • @JohnWoo99

I am honoured and very happy to be in communication, and to receive such a fast response from a busy and famous person. Uncountable thanks for that. Yes, I'm pretty naive. i like to trust my senses. I wish there was a certain way to tell what is raw and what artificial. I'm not really comfortable with my cynical side.

Nevertheless your little film is an agreeable nod to a highly evocative original.

  • @JohnWoo99 do you always hold your nose so needlessly high?

  • @NMRA Because it's on top of my head, like a porpoise.

  • this is almost as good as his sausages movie.

  • Coming from John Woo, I expected a lot of white coulumbs flying from all directions while someone, armed with a pair of handgunds, appears shooting from the train while being shown in stop-motion footage.

But it didn't happened, and that would have been worse than this: a loose, plain and non-sensitive remake.

  • I can't wait til this comes out on DVD!

    ;)

  • I think this just confirms my long-held belief that all remakes are worse than the original.

  • this shows how much time has passed since the first one, great job. I would have loved to have lived in that time, the 1890's

  • @danielchance

With no air conditioning, no penicillin, and rampant sales of decaying food due to the absence of government regulations? With fire departments that arrived on horse buggies to fight fires with buckets of water? Racial and gender discrimination in employment and housing alike could be done right out in the open.

In my opinion, the 1890's is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

  • great! the lady crossing the front of the camera its a nice addon.

  • wouw

  • wtf there is no sex?!

  • Sorry, but its a horrible terrible remake.

  • Bravo

  • Aww. I was hoping for slow-motion shootouts and explosions.

  • haha.. stolen idea

  • when did u remake this? what effects did u use?

  • lol

  • John! How could you make a film without me!!!

  • Don't you remember, you were driving the train!
