have you ever drove a truck? i bet you a years pay i could drive your excavator and load trucks,but i bet you could not drive a 100,000 pound grossed truck up that hill. It takes more skill to go forward than it does back.

The other trucks had no problems, just this one. Weither it was driver error, lack of experience or a mechanical issue, it was still a fail.

fuckin ol downshifting on a hill.......especially with a load on it drops your speed and rpms down soooooo fast you have to shift 4 million times faster then normal...and on a hill like that droping 2 gears would be alot easier then tryin to drop that one...he should have even dropped half gear and mite have been enuff to get er up over. YARRRRRR!!!
Sure is nice that you guy's put something down for traction on that slick hill instead of just sitting there watch like a couple of numb nut assholes.
@vantagetes The shine on the clay makes it look like it's wet. Hell it would've been quicker, and easier on the truck, for him to just put it into Low gear and just crawl up the hill. Can't believe they give licenses to just anybody, if I was his boss He would've been skidded for that crap, cause if he's doing that there I can only imagine how terrible he is in heavy traffic.
@mad4diesel Absolutely! I guess he never drove off asphalt before. Bogging it down in too high of a gear like that, I suprised he didn't break an axle or driveshaft.

@travislynn21 Well as every truck and trailer setup is different which changes GVW the loads vary but our end dumps carry up to 24,000Kg.

All depends how the other drivers went. Maybe the power divider lock wasn't working. He backed down that greasy hill OK so he couldn't be too green.
