You believed I was comparing Glenn Beck to a totalitarian dictator when I mentioned 1984 instead of realizing that i was referring to the famous slogan from the book '2 = 2 = 5'. I believe anyone who had read the book would just understood that almost immediately. This is what Glenn Beck is referring to: His belief in an objective view of reality

And no, it was obtuse: there are so many parts of 'Nineteen-Eighty Four' relevant to Beck: one-state hegemony for example; socialism. These sprung to mind, not your pun. I see what you are getting at but it doesn't have much a point. So, unsurprisingly, that did not spring to mind. Did you get the reference of epsilons, from another dystopian text? No worries.

his other viewpoints are rather irrelevant in the context of this video don't you think? I really can't see how you could confuse my reference to 1984 when 2 +2 = 5 is the only Orwell reference directly related with this video. In fact is pretty much the entirety of the 18 seconds of this video.

I'm sure that the unfortunate, poorer 3rd graders would be pleased to know they have health insurance now. As well as the ones who haven't explored their sexuality enough to realize if they're gay or not. I'm also sure if a 3rd grader was given the situation to give firefighters from 9/11 benefits from the government, they wouldn't filibuster the idea. Do you watch real news or read newspapers?
