  • so mean.... human rights are not that visible on that scene... so retarded...

  • Nowadays we need more teacher like him! Beat this fuck generation as well!

  • my dad said that scene is true in 70~80's (i'm a korean)

  • I don't see why some people are getting pissed. this movie is set around a time when south korea was poor and just starting to rise to become more prosperous. Obviously, there's gonna be a lot of beating

  • You oh sung /:::: I love him

  • 유오성

  • I do believe that some kids need to be discipline, but no one should get slapped around like that for getting a low score on fucking pop quiz.

  • Lol I see everyone saying " America this, America that" fucking hop off Americas dick, bitches, go mess with Haiti or some shit.

  • @BoyChibi right fucking haterz

  • @thestupidboy10001 I mean not to defend America, but thats all I see. Lol

  • 70, 80's style... teacher should be retire if teacher do it like this in present

  • no wonder american kids are so disrespectful and stupid as fuck!

  • until 60s? Nope!! I've experienced this kind of being beaten in 1988 personally. And this was usual events in the 70s, 80s. I was beaten with long stick attached to the broom 20 times. Was I something wrong? Nope ... the only reason I was beaten by my teacher was not bringing textbook or lowering test results.

Now I'm 40 yrs old. And I thanks to the god that such a terrible generation(the era of autocracy by the army) had gone.

  • Haha this is so funny even for me(Korean). The movie's background is Korea in 1960s, so I have NEVER seen these kinds of teachers during my school days in Korea.(One of my classmate called a police when he was beaten a little bit. lol.) Now, it is a government law that teachers cannot beat students. My parents do not like this law because teachers are too soft these days.

  • this shiz is forreals man

  • What kind a teacher is this

  • @RoCkEr4014 it's an asian teacher....this is how schools are in alot of asian countries. when i was in school in vietnam, i remember getting whooped with a big ass ruler by my teacher. then i got home and got whooped some more by my parents lmao....now you see why asians are disciplined as hell.

  • @VanMedia Lol last 4 years ago in philippines they never did that to me the teachers are nice at all before i moved here at canada

  • @RoCkEr4014 Maybe your in a good school. Anyways, it's fastly changing nowadays but in my younger years in elementary in a public school, they really use physical form of punishment. Even in High School but not that much since the western influence are becoming more prevalent.

  • Lol! The teacher is the Tango instructor from Scent of a Woman.

  • This is how my parents beat me when I was young lol

  • this is the best scene ever

  • Believe it or not there are a lot of places where teachers still beat students in Korea , in Japan and in China. And you know what ? I think a lot of america cunts would need this beatings ^^

  • @Tenki09 yup in vietnam :D

  • OH my god! That teacher is just like my mom! Shit, I cringed when I heard, "Ii ru wa!"

  • This is the shit. Im showing this to my prick math teacher, Dont worry people, I aint getting expelled!

  • i wouldnt want my kid being hit by anyone but me and my wedded. i dont want my own children hurting my children. i do believe discipline is better rather than spoiling your kids to a fancy credit card, i know because all thru middle school everyone was like that. but i was disciplined from young to like 9. and i turned out fine.

my mother had to go through being hit by a teacher too, and i didnt like it.

btw i saw that actor teacher in star golden bell :]

  • 대한민국 교육의 폭력성을 잘 보여주는..

  • @testingaba hey can u tell me where u got this movie in subtitles? Thanks!

  • This is how my dad has to go through back then :P

Korean teachers were SUPER scary back then.

  • I think we agree, the past is over.

  • this scene in 1980s haha

  • not unless your dad's a gangster boss

  • This scene always cracks me up because the "Teacher" is actually waay younger than the "student" in real life lol

  • @puddlemini really???

  • @ThePaxTube okay, not that big of a difference lol. But at the time of the movie, Yoo Oh-seong (student) was 36 and Kim Kwang Gyu (teacher) was 34

  • @puddlemini Hilarious...especially in Korean society I'm sure they had a laugh after the scene was over...haha

  • Uummm I think being hit with like a ruler or something is tolerable but smacking them in the face, I think that's ridiculous. Is it really like this in Korea?! Getting hit like that by your parents, that's fine (lol), but the teacher don't fucking know you like that!

  • I saw the Drama but I want to see the movie.. The scenes are almost the same, they were both directed by the same person. But I still want to see the movie.. Where can I see it??

  • It was actually the lower class that usually got beaten. Rich kids were protected by their parents and money so even teachers were afraid to touch them. In fact, poor kids got beaten for being poor a lot of the times, like having a dirty uniform or not buying a textbook. This is also one of the main reasons why Korean people are known for their tempers. Getting the crap beaten out of you is always traumatic in all contexts, even punishment. This whole system is f'ed up.

  • @rackchick I think that is the same all the way around the world, and has always been like that, not just in Korea.

  • @rackchick Rich kids protected by their parents? I knew a classmate in Jr. High, son of 2 star general, beaten crap out of him just for being a smart mouth in front of my homeroom teacher.

  • @shiragi992 I meant rich kids were protected from teachers. There's something different about a father punishing his own child than a stranger that's not related that's beating up on your son. The same goes with siblings. You can beat the crap out of your own brother but when someone outside the family attacks him, it's different. Weird familial rules, I guess.

  • Trust me this kind of education breeds assholes...

  • i love this movie

  • wer can i watch this with english subs???

  • i think i would actually be okay with this kind of beating if we still had it in school systems. I mean, i would hate it at the moment, but in the future, id know it was for the better good.

  • Yes, it was styles of Korean in old days. I was laughing my butt off so bad I had to worry about the neighbors. I am a female and i got striks on my butts on a couple of occassions. I didn't think it was horrible. It's really just funny, so funny.

I haven't seen the movie yet. I will remember to see this movie for sure.

  • Fuck, I'd hate to say this, but I probably could've used some of this when I was growing up in the States.

Give me a little more discipline, and also get physically more tolerant.

  • Saw this movie with my father, and he started laughing at this scene, and told me how this made him think back to his highschool days in Korea.

This was the days when teachers were respected very much, and beatings were condoned by the parents of the students. If you disrespected a teacher, smoked cigarettes, didn't do your homework, they would beat the shit out of you, and the parents would thank the teachers for disciplining thier children...poor dad haha

  • i love how the teacher finds any excuse to hit the kids

"what are you looking at?! smack smack smack"

    LOL fucking love this movie

  • Chingoo and Dirty Carnival.

    The best K-mafia films ever.

  • This reminds of me myself when I was in school back in Pakistan.

  • this is just movie and not in real life in korea nowadays for sure, but back to days like early 1990's when i was in high school in korea, these type of shit purnishment was seen very easily everyday and everywhere in boys highschool.... it was taugh, horrible and too hard to put up with being taught by those mad and violent teachers at that time but now, it just become one of our special(?) recollection to be brought up and having a big mouth when gathering with old fellas with beers..

  • honestly people in gangs are not bad people .. just because fighting is in their job description doesn't make them bad.

if thats the case Im guessing.... all UFC fighters are bad..... NO! I didn't think so. they are just people trying to make money not the best way of earning that money but im sure 8 out of 10 people who are poor and in need of finding a way to make a living, gangs are the only organization who whould take them in. SO.. my thought of the day

  • lol haha this was sickkkkkkkk

  • This is not Korean style... this is just movie...

  • sigh if none of you are koreans dont fucking talk cause everything i read here are mostly fucking wrong so dont mislead a information piece of shit dumbasses..

  • luv this scene....and the movie is great!

  • American kids need their asses beat like this.

  • In S. Korea Teachers are held to a higher standard than North American teachers. They are seen as selfless, hard working and righteous. A role model for some kids. It's kind of like how Doctors are viewed in America. Teaching is also held to a higher degree than in America.

Teachers have to try to make each student reach to his or her potential.

In America most teachers don't give a shit... thats the difference between the quality of teaching in America and Asia.

  • yea but some teachers abuse that right...... like this ashole

  • student's fail exams because they seriously don't give a shit about the exam.

  • These scenes are 1970's of busan (east southern area) of Korea or something like that, Nowdays we can't see this kind of situation in korea, however until these days there's lots of gangsters in busan and mokpo(west southern area) every once in a while they fights eachother with serious weapon like long sword or hammer, even police can't control them.

  • i can understand abou the gangster, im talking about the teaching or teacher beating up the kid..

    reply for huesungYm.

  • if teachers were allowed to beat their students the world wouldn't be as fucked as it is now. In korea, china, vietnam, etc students spend most of their days at school with teachers and society expects teachers to discipline the students as well as parents, unlike here where we expect parents to do it all, and then parents are pretty lenient nowadays. When i was a kid i was beat too, puts you in your place and you know not to fuck up again.

  • If you had your ass beat like that, at the least you would know how to spell properly.

  • I agree with u i go to a school where the whole place is filled with rich white pricks that complain, has issues with other people that are "lower class "and hates other races other than white so let's replace the american teachers with korean teachers to beat those rich white asses up

  • @DavidMcbadbad that will never happen in white america..."cuz i'll report you!!!"...

  • @DavidMcbadbad there are alot of bad things that come out of this though, like ultra violent people... in old korean society, your father beats you, your teacher beats you, you join the army then you REALLY get beat, then you go out and are a pretty angry fuck at the end of it all....

  • @DavidMcbadbad I'll get my mom's wooden spoon, lol. You got the bamboos?

  • @DavidMcbadbad what school do u go to?

  • @12137884521 Thats why american doesnt have any gut.

  • @12137884521 I agree with you but this is 2 much yo lol

  • @BlaqMusik no whats gonna teach em a lesson is if we install showers in each of the classes, and if one students gets out of hand we tell them to strip down butt nekkid and get in the shower, 20 seconds later when hes all soaked and settle the teacher gives them a nice ass whooping right in the shower with a nice strong leather whip........that'll teach him.

  • lol

    the best movie
