In Norway, (at least in my dialect) I think: "Hei, d e Hannah" = "Hi, it's Hannah" is the more common way to answer the phone when you don't know who's calling. If it's like your mom or something I just say, Wazzup? :P Or you could just use Hei (Hi), Hallo (Hello) etc.

we have ahoj ,caw and pa in slovakia.ofcours when we say pa we say it like paaa or papa...not many of us use that now..but we swap it around sometimes ,sayin caw at the beginnining and the end of a convosation ( we pronounce it chaw not caw)

I didn't know anyone answers the phone with their number! I'm American, and I've never heard of that here. But in Germany people answer the phone with their name. That confused a colleague who was regularly phoning a Colombian family that was new to Germany. She asked her friend how his wife "hola" was doing. LOL!
