1.viper has a toxic skin passive skill, enemies attack him will be slowed and damaged over time so he can built as tanker

2.he only can focus 1 enemy as oncebecause he has a strong slow target ulti and a orb affect slow

In Viper's case, like Drow Ranger, he can toggle his Orb on/off, which can make an Orb Effect item usable (I do not recommend this as you will lose some of item/ability's power)

Actually, in a teamfight viper becomes quite tanky if you choose for HaT, considering magic reduction.

Thing about viper is, HE DOESN'T NEED DAMAGE. Needs atk speed and hp, because he can act as tanky, and he already got enough damage to get kills around early/mid game.

@ReversePolarety Ever since the stacking issue of poison attack and corrosive skin was fixed making him a tank support/anti carry has become very popular. His steroid skill provides static damage increase anyway so staying in the midst of battle slowing two of the important heroes during a teamfight has become more preferable than the 1v1 killer viper. The 20% magic resistance of corrosive skin also makes getting hp items more worthwhile.
