We have to distinguish between thermite and thermate. Thermate, spelled with ATE at the end, is thermite and sulfur. That sulfur is heated by the thermite reaction, forming a very hot gas or plasma that melts surrounding steel. Search YouTube for "linear thermite" and see a small thermate device cutting a reinforcing bar. The reason for using thermate in the WTC: deniability. Thermate makes much less noise, a "whoosh" instead of a bang. Not proof, certainly, but reason to investigate.

Explain how WTC7 was wired for demolition when 3 floors had 24x7 coverage on the SSB floors along with the long hours everyone put in all the while being packed in like sardines.

I have no idea. I was helping engineer a new trading system. My days were focused on that.
I didn't notice anyone wiring thermite anywhere in my building though.

I was calling you a liar on other issues, not the layoffs. You were insuating that the building was empty because of the layoffs. Nothing could be further from the truth. We were packed in like sardines.
How did they wire my building without anyone noticing? Do you know how it's done and how long it would have taken?

I explained why there were layoffs. That wasn't a secret. Why is that relevant at all? Do you really think a few weeks makes a difference? It would take months and months to wire a building. All this with people working crazy hours including 3 having people on them at all times. Nobody is going to notice that all. Nope not at all...LOL

I worked in a group that was building a new trading system. What does that have to do with my first hand knowledge of the hours people worked and the fact 3 floors had coverage every hour of the day?
I averaged 75 hours a week when I was there. That was the average for most people I worked with. You want to ignore the fact, go for it.

So maybe they could have wired the lower supports for demolition and you might not have noticed? Like most people, you were doing your job and not interfering with anyone else's job. Especially not a bunch of ostensible construction workers in the lowest levels of the building who, like many union construction workers, didn't seem all that friendly to "suits" who didn't belong on their job site.

See Slacker... real professional engineers would write a detailed paper and submit it to a peer reviewed engineered journal. Why hasn't Gage done that?

I do not blow off anyone. I respect Jowenko's opinion on the towers. I would have liked a more thorough investigation of the debris. It could have stayed at Staten Island indefinitely. It didn't have to go to recycling.

YOu're a little confused. Salomon had merged with Smith Barney so there were people that had repitiive jobs. Some Salomon people were replaced by Smith Barney people and moved from Greenwich St over to our building (Building 7)

Ok; now your post is simply ill informed.
Seffen wrote a paper on the twin towers- like greening, bazant, zhou and others, he is happy to do that, but has avoided studying wtc7.
The same applies to the ASCE. Their study was on the TTs, not wtc7.
You may have worked at 7; you are not an implosion expert. 1 non US implosion expert has voiced his opinion on this, and he couldnt be ,more clear in his conclusions.
Now go away and inform yourself, and when youve done that, illl respond.

Earth to MJD: WTC7 isn't being avoided. Wait untl the NIST report comes out too and you will see plenty of talk on the subject.
Another Danny Jowenko reference too. He also says that WTC1 and 2 weren't controlled demolition but I guess that doesn't matter, right?

NIST has been avoided by all academics. NIST have delayed their report, the leader, shyam sunder says this is because they "cannot get their heads round it", and FEMA states that the offical explanation is of "low probability".
NIST is also a government agency, and their conclusions should be scrutinised the same as German and Italian giv scientists of the 30s.
I have never mentioned the 1/2; you are getting even more delusional now.

I will answer your question: I do not know whether the towers were controlled demolitions. I can't find any event to compare with the collapse of the twin towers. I think it would have been worth a better investigation.
WTC7 certainly did look like a CD. In fact, I challenge anyone to find me a video of a collapse as symmetrical as WTC7 of a building anywhere near the size of WTC7.

Explain how WTC7 was wired for demolition when 3 floors had 24x7 coverage on the SSB floors along with the long hours everyone put in all the while being packed in like sardines.
It would have taken over a year to wire the building and not one person notices the construction work being done. Good God you people live in Fantasyland.

The fact is, you have no evidence. You have one witness who is confused over the timing. What he thought was a bomb was the South Tower coming down that ripped a huge gap into WTC7 and that along with the fires made the building come down.
You can't handle the truth for whatever reason.
