Hello cristophercinco, thanks so much for your response...funny you should mention strads, I found a very old but damaged strad on craigslist for only 35.00!

I immediately asked a luthier in my area if he advised getting it, but before long it was sold to a young man who studied violins by disassembling them. I heard there's only about 600 strads in exixtence, is this true?
