  • Makes you wanna grit your teeth and march into gusts of canister shot. Just me?

  • @pickledcockles Nope , you are not alone

  • Ausgezeichnet!

  • @NordenHonor i agrre

  • Vorwärts!!!

  • @NordenHonor Dear brother! You are speaking from our heart!

    Greetings from Hungary.

  • German military marches- awesome. but my nation is still better at composing military marches. :P you'll never quess where i'm from lol

  • YOU guys have to listen to this song after you get baked. Is fucking amazeing , I listen to the song when im sober too but if you love it sober then listen to it while your baked. itsss soo good

  • Hail Prussia !

  • @NordenHonor I couldn't agree more. I would sell my sole just to be able to live in the time when Europe was great.

  • @NordenHonor

Wasn't Prussia largely a Capitalist state with a puppet king at the top? The amount of industrialist-capitalists in power was ridiculous!

  • @BlackPanteraSociety Essentially yes, but I think the king had a little more power than just being a puppet. he appointed cabinet ministers who carried out laws and decrees. and led the military.

  • @Willredd94

Yeah in theory he was supreme, but usually the monarch appointed a capable Chancellor that took control of most political issues for him. For example like Hardenberg and Bismarck.

  • @BlackPanteraSociety i think that depended strongly on the monarch himself.

for example Friedrich II. von Preußen genannt der Große was all but a puppet - he was an absolut monarch par excellence, deciding about war and peace, about appointments, about state philosphoies and about the economy

  • @wingolf22

of course, Friedrich der Große was one of the best European leaders of all time. I'm talking more about 19th Century Prussia, when Industrialisation and Capitalism really started emerging.

  • @BlackPanteraSociety the Kingdom of Prussia was an absolute monarchy with a monarch dictator, And frankly it was during those dictators that Europe bloomed up into the worlds supreme powers, It was Socialism that braught upon the dark ages of the early 20th century.

  • @NordenHonor

In theory, of course. But in practice, usually the Hohenzollern monarchs were so mentally unstable/unable to rule efficiently that they left most of their tasks in the hands of an able statesman, usually the Chancellor.

Most reforms that made Prussia/the German Empire the superpower we know were made by, not the King, but his ministers : such as Bismarck, Hardenberg, Humboldt etc

  • @BlackPanteraSociety They aren't alone, Socialists and Capitalists alike have had their fair share of nuts rulers, Take George W bush, there is a good example of Democracy gone wrong.

As a matter of fact, The nazi party in germay got power from democratic votings.

  • @NordenHonor

I know, I'm just saying that most of the time, the Monarchs got credit for their minister's hard work.

I agree with you, but the Nazi Party was not exactly elected in the most democratic manner now was it?

  • @BlackPanteraSociety Not in every case, The majority of Monarchs have in truth worked hard both for their own succsess and that of their nations, Once in awhile a band monarch followed but thats too be expected.

And its not like modern day presidents or Prime ministers do everything themselves either.

Actually it was, It won by majority, True enough the Nazi party refused too take part in national votes etc that they considered "un-german" but thats the folly of democracy

  • @NordenHonor Bad*

  • @NordenHonor conservatism = ignorace

  • @Adonnus100 Universalism = Cultural mass extiction.

  • i remember to listen for the first time this march as part of the soundtrack of "Barry Lindon " When Barry Lindon was forced to join to Prussian army during the 7 Years war

  • ey miau wer will camen

  • The IDF, baby!

  • While my Great Grandfather fought for Tzarist Russia, it is however a great source of annoyance, to have this song associated with a conflict (WW1) whose defeat was unfairly saddled upon the German People. Blame that should have been placed upon the the hoary Hapsburg government of Austria and the seething and vengeance driven French government of 1918. If that was the case then horrors of Hitler's Germany may never has been manifest.

  • @vasily1917

    Amen to that!

And coming from a Russian this really says something.

What has remained after the horrors of WW2 in Germany is also a great amount of respect for the Russian nation and their brave and tough soldiers.

    They learned the same lesson Napoleon and Charles the Xth of Sweden had to learn;

do NOT fight the Russians on their own ground.

  • @NordenHonor Monarchy is a political system. Capitalism and Socialism are both economic systems. In the Victorian Era, in which Prussia existed, Capitalism was largely used. Please learn the difference between a political and economic system.

  • Überlassen Sie es Friedrich dem Großen, einen Marsch nach dem, was war vielleicht seinen größten Sieg nennen.

  • Ruhm und Ehre dem Preußischen Königreich!

  • This march was written by King Frederick II. of Prussia himselfs, for memory of his battle of Hohenfriedberg on June the 4. 1745.

The maintheme of the march is quoted in the march "Fredericus Rex".

  • Certified Intergalactic! Hail Gilbert!

  • Another great bit of march music.

    Thanks legendKuzorra

  • This is Königgrätzer. just slow.

  • @michaelskydj No, Gottfried Piefke used this march as a trio in the Königgrätzer marsch

  • @sandree7 That is right.

  • Why does this sound like Der Koniggratzer Marsch?? Either way, I like it.

  • yeah i know hitler was a bad man but i hate to hear the germans are bad at the second world war yeah many people was bad but not only in germany in all countrys in the world and when a bad people catch the power of a country so the bad people had the control so not the germans soldier was bad yeah maybe someone he fight only for his country bad power or good power

  • This march was composed by Frederick II of Prussia in 1745 after the victory of the Prussians at the Battle of Hohenfriedberg.

The "Hohenfriedberger" is one of the most symbolic march in the prussian history .

  • 流石愛すべきドイツ

  • é 10...

  • I wan't this played just as my future wife gives birth to my child. I know, I'm random that way :P

  • Es lebe unser heiliges Deutschland! - the last words of Count Claus von Stauffenberg before the Nazis shot him.

  • I love German Marches, and this is one of the best. From your old friend a Briton.

  • i want this played at my wedding

  • Gott mit uns..

  • Ausgezeichnet!

  • Unglaublich wunderbar! Es macht mein Haar aufstehen!

  • @beobachter47 Du meinst wohl : " Das stehen mir die Haare zu Berge.".

  • National Socialism to me is the best government ever devised but I agree with CarchariasMegalodon, if Adolf didn't execute the Jews he would have won and would have gained America and Britian as an ally against Russia.

  • I wish this was used today as its just great! 100%, when I hear this I think of bravery and loyalty alike!

  • Beautiful song! My great grandfather fought bravely for Germany and the Kaiser in WWI! Too bad Hitler forced my family to flee Germany for being Jewish, since my great grandfather loved Germany with all his heart and soul, and was an Iron Cross 1st class recipient too!

  • @Yhudination That's definitely something to be proud of.

  • @Yhudination That's Hitler's wost idea in any thinking style, he lost many patriotic people (Like your great grandfather) and a lot of skilled scientists like Einstein and Oppenheimer.

  • @Yhudination

    May he rest in peace.

    Shaloom

  • @Yhudination greatest honor to your great grandfather! and its so sad that brave germans like him and his family had to flee because of he was jewish, so sad... in ww I and ww II we lost some of our best generations. keep your great grandfathers remembrance alive. he was one of our heros!

  • @Yhudination I hope u luv germany too.... i know we do evil things but be smart an forgive us ... not forget only forgive! greetz from germany!

  • @Yhudination Many good Germans had to flee - those fates make me sad. Hitler forced the intelectual and cultural elite to leave even though those are the ppl running a country... And nowadays... just left and right and nothing in between.

  • @Yhudination

My great grandfather was a Cavalryman for the Belgian army during wwI bad they nailed him on the ground with a machinegun. According to him,he killed 5 Germans. Proud of him

  • @Yhudination Your great grandfather is a true soldier, and I salute him.

  • This song, I like it.

  • @Yhudination Your grandmother fought in the war? O.o

Man, she must have been a badass :D

Congrats on your granny and respect to her :)

  • @asdfasqwert stfu, shithead

  • @riftenbub Ма, најебем ти се милосне мајчице :P

  • @Yhudination I am proud of you. I am a German LtCol. Hitler and his criminal gang was a desaster for mankind. Never facism in any country.

  • @Yhudination

that was one of the big faults of the third reich. they persecuted and executed jewish soldiers who bravely and patrioticallly fought in ww1 for their own country...

    shame on that!

  • @Yhudination at least somebody who shares my sort of german "pride" ... all that which Prussia stood for was destroyed by the little brown genitaldevourer with the funny beard =/

    greets from germany

  • @Yhudination Yes too bad, there were many jewish immigrants, who fought bravely for our country in WW I.

  • @Yhudination I am sorry to read that. Sad. Your great grandfather probably considered himself a German first, and a Jew second. Many did.

  • @Yhudination

vote up if you want to send your respect to Yhudination truely german warrior grandfather

  • @germanx01

I truly wish I could have served Deustchland in WWI. I still have my great grandfather's Iron Cross, as well as his silver wound medal. I still wonder what Hitler thought of the German Jews who gave their lives for the fatherland, as many were killed in the brutal trench warfare.

All for Deutschland and the Kaiser!

  • @Yhudination

Whilst I am glad that my country (Britain) won in the war I wish that the war had never happened, for Germany's sake, because the German Empire was a nation of which its people could justly be proud and an inspiration for much of the rest of Europe.

  • @Yhudination I cant understand it too, this people were germans as every other, but at last there were justice in 1945 but a too little satisfaction for the survivers,

but I think today germany is better

  • @Yhudination wow now thats a hero iron cross 1st class my great grandfather also got it and later migrated to colombia right after the war because the fatherland was a mess after the war

  • @Yhudination He was a great german hero

  • This is also my favourite march. During my military service, I wanted to serve in the German tank battalion, that keeps the tradition of the Ansbach-Bayreuth dragoons. Unfortunately, I was too tall for a tank battalion and they put me to the parachuters who have no glorious Prussian tradition at all. :(

  • @BoeserBiber They haven't but try to cheer up by thinking that the parachuters are elite infantry group. They are something like the prussian watch guard, which was very glorious unit.

  • @BoeserBiber They haven't but try to cheer up by thinking that the parachuters are elite infantry group. They are something like the prussian watch guard, which was very glorious unit.

  • Yes I'm very excited in Prussian military history. This charge is considered as both the finest and darest attack, of the Prussian cavalry.

The legend says also, that Frederick himself saluted, when the dragoons entered their encampment. Historicly documented is, that he gave the regiment the permission to play both the marches of the cavalry, as dragoons were considered infantry at this time.

  • ACTUNG!

  • Hohenfriedberger is absolutely the best march in my opinion. Do you know that it was composed by Friederich der Grosse, great king of Prussia?

  • It is said, that Frederick wrote this tune after the battle at Hohenfriedberg. He referred the march to the dragoon regiment Bayreuth, which - although outnumbered by 1 to 4 - charged against 20 Austrian battalions. The cavarly attack was so devastating, that the Austrians were put to flight in disarray and their whole frontline collapsed.

100 years after the battle, when the dragoons were known as "Ansbach-Bayreuth", the lyrics were added to this march. You can find the first verse on YouTube.

  • @BoeserBiber I am sorry, little historical fail in my memory. But thank You, my knowledge about the battle of Hohenfriedberg was very little. That is very interesting, how the prussian cavalry succeeded so well in their attack. Even in those days it was quite dangerous and risky work, even if the opponent didn't have so huge outnumber numbers. That march is great sign of respect to these dragoon regiments.

  • Love this march! And this sign looks like smiley ツ

  • Bin ueberhaupt kein Deutscher, doch ich kann den Stoltz und Ehre von diesem Lied trotzdem spuerren.

  • Smooth and plesant, like a good Pinot Noir, this is an exilent clip!

  • presuccesor to preussens gloria

  • Marziale e composta, grande come il suo autore ! Al suono di questa marcia si è tremato in molti luoghi d' Europa, e NON di entusiasmo !

  • Très belle interprétation!!!

  • @MrQuebec did you say 3 stars on french?

  • i adore this march!

  • Comment removed

  • sounds the same as the koniggratzer marsch

  • @CommunismRulez Some versions of the Koeniggraetzer have this added onto the end.

  • Inspiring march music!

  • Somehow I wish that the returning Dutch troops from Afghanistan could march on this during a welcoming parade.^__^

But that would not be politically correct. /__\

  • @helmuthoorn No ^^ this might be happening here in Germany, i hope...

  • Proud Prussian myself. Scrap Sachsen-Anhalt, Brandenburg, Berlin. Reunite the lot and reestablish Prussia

  • I'm a descendant of Prussia and you have no idea how good this music makes me feel.... I've got a mixture of chills and tears of pride...

  • @bpeck77

the exact same happens to me.

this music always gives me chills and a warm feeling around my chest.

this and the preussenlied really get to me there arent many prussians left unfortunately, if only germany was really unified things would be way different

  • @MHJforPrussia Heil dir mein Vaterland :)
