Also, it was obvious that Shawn herself was extremely disappointed after winning silver in Beijing, yet she was commended for her good sportsmanship. There is a difference between pouting and simply letting disappointment show through.

Disappointment is normal and expected. For an example, see Michelle Kwan at the medal ceremonies in Nagano and Salt Lake for an example. However, it's clear that Alicia is pouting, which is immature and not good sportsmanship.

I know Alicia is acting like a baby, but think about it. She was 2005 champion but wasn't in the 2006 final. Then she was so close again and the "new young girl" who had 2 gold medals already beats you. I would cry too.

I love Alicia, I do, but she was acting like such a baby here. I know she was dissapointed, but she WON a silver. Its a world medal which she has I think like seven, so I am not going to feel bad. And she won a medal on vault a gold with the team. I remember the good ole days when the USA kids were just happy to win a medal, no matter what color it was...

I've met Alica ( we went to the same high school) and she DID have an attitude. She walked the halls like she OWNED the place and it was just ridiculous. I understand that she's an accomplished gymnast but she really lets it all go to her head. She is nice is the sense of the typical fake bubbly high school girl. The attitude you see here is the TRUE Alicia Sacramone.

Alicia needs to tone down with the attitude. Shawn earned first place because she worked hard for it and had a good meet. being a spoiled brat about it isn't nessecary. Alicia got second and that is great, she needs to get over her not getting first though

Just curious but why do they keep playing an abridged version of the Star Spangled Banner? Is this anthem longer then other countries?

I don't know why Shawn would be lost because of Alicia's disappointment? It's not showing in any picture or video neither.

I can very much understand Alicia, she has no hard feelings against Shawn or any other gymnast. She knows she only has to blame her own mistakes for her loss of the gold medal. I probably would react the same way but after a night of sleep you calm down and move on to training again.

ok.....i saw her reaction straight after she came in 2nd, and stunned by her little tanty, but watching this she dosn't appear to be beinga complete bitch about it. She didn't smile, but atleast she didnt frown etc...poor shawn, she dosnt know what to do
