A couple of corrections: Veerle did not sing any of the solos on the recording; this was part of the agreement when she signed the contract for the movie. The voiceover was done by Helen Massey. Helen is an opera singer in London and almost every website I have seen about CATS has misspelled her name. Incidently, you can hear Veerle singing the role of Jemima in the Dutch version of CATS.

I read Helen Massie only dubbed Memory, but Veerle Castelyn sings all the other songs. If this is true then they sound the same. If she was only dubbed because of her accent then why was only dubbed in Memory?

@BombalurinaLestrange Well, whatever you read about that Massie only sang Memory - it isn't true. Casteleyn was dubbed all over the movie, she didn't sing a single word of Jemima's lines.

Also, wärend ihr Moonlight ja ziemlich...naja... "Gewöhnungsbedürftig" *höflich sei* ist, klingen die anderen Parts sogar halbwegs... OK^^ Naja. Ich hätte sie endweder gar nicht, oder mit Sarah Brightman gedubbt.

@Imaryana1 Ja, empfinde ich genauso. Ich glaube, sie ist ein Mezzo, der sich einfach "Hochpresst". Das machen viele Sängerinnen so. Das klibngt dann so unnatürlich gepresst.

oi! So cute! I memorized the dance at 00.06 just yesterday! I wished they didn't dub over Veerle's voice. Although Massie's voice is pretty, I still think Veerle's is lovely

@RumTumTuggress Fortunately ... the danger is just, if you REALLY don't know that she was dubbed in the movie and expect angelic voice and singing you start to hate her >< I did, at the beginning I had no clue about that it wasn't Veerle's real voice and overall couldn't understand why everyone is soooooo enthusiastic about her -.- Singing, especially for Jemima/Sillabub, is VERY important for me. But thanks to Draculya666 I'm much smarter now XD
