  • Ohh god, i love this!

  • hey guys can we have another UK vs US argument? i aint seen one of them on a youtube video for a while

  • @wank0r UK win every time lol heheh

  • AHH~MAZINGG!!!!!

  • AMAZINGLY!!!!

  • No wonder they are known as the smartest regiment in the world and their music is always as good keep up the good work lads and good luck to all of you serving out in

Afghanistan we are proud of you come home safe and that goes for all our troops out there

  • this is so epic...

  • U.S. Marines are the best!!!!!

  • @we3575 these are British Royal Marines mate...

  • @angel102ify oh sorry, thought these were U.S. soliders... then again it was like 3 am when I wrote that comment.

  • @we3575 The Royal Marines are not known as the smartest regiment in the world for nothing and also they were going long before the US Marines were even thought of

  • @bikermanx1 The US Marines were modelled after the Royal Marines a long time ago.

  • The Marines are the best at LITERALLY EVERYTHING. Very few times have I seen a mistake at ANYTHING having to do with the Marines.

  • Anybody else think this is ironic since the Brits found a "New World"

  • There very good but i still think the Swedish and British royal guards can play better songs ;)

  • badassss

  • they're really bad, i play this in 8th grade and we sound better & we've only had it for three days..sad

  • @lovealwaysforever14 You don't get very good acoustics in the middle of a harbour mate, shut up and stop tolling

  • @lovealwaysforever14 bullshit

  • The arrangement is done by former marine bandsmaster Gavin Martin. He now plays for the Dave Hankin big band, teaches music, and is the musical director for many amateur - semi professional shows.

Gavin is a close friend of mine, and unfortunately is just out of the view of the camera!

  • if they are so good, how come they have to carry around sheet's for the music.

GO CANADA.. BEST MILITARY IN THE WORLD

  • @1987Challenger3 because of the amount of tunes they have to learn I would say, and they are better than good

  • @1987Challenger3 Who swear allegiance to the British Queen, and I bet the Canadian Bands also have sheet music

  • @neddonovan they dont. BECAUSE THEY ARE SO PRO BITACH. LOL EAT IT

  • You have no idea Doom how good these guys are - they are fighting soldiers and probably the best military band in the World!

  • Just in case anybody was wondering, the quick march they play at the end is 'Blue Devils'.

  • Cymbals are freaking gorgeous

  • Comment removed

  • @1664stix That's really interesting. I took this video and thought you guys were amazing that day. Personally I really enjoyed this slow march arrangement. I guess it does no harm for a military band to play a few more well-known pieces when playing to the general public....

  • impresionante

  • OUTSTANDING

  • gets my dick hard.

  • @macky111222 WTF!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

  • Wish Roy Simmons were here to say "DAMN!" to that.

  • @macky111222 SAD

  • my dad was in that band and i want to go in it aswell and play the drums and bugle

  • PERFECT!

  • EXCELLENT

  • pahahahah thats the funniest comment ive seen all day!

  • still better than anything thats come out of france

  • britishboy112: :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • @britishboy112 :DDDDDDDDD So true :D

  • @britishboy112: Eurodisney is a shambles compared to this.

  • i was at the commemoration event for the 20th anniversary of the Marines Barrack Bombings in Deal yesterday, they were amazing, especially the fantastic guitar solo over a video about the fleet air arm on the massive screens. i was right at the front :) the drum corps also outdid themselves as usual :)

  • I'm going to the school of music for five days on career qcuaint in september - then hopefully pass an audition because it looks amazing.

  • I wish I could remember my dad's days in 'the band', he played clarinet, saxophone and viola, he was in the band for 26 years, I miss you so much dad

  • my dad was in the royal marines band 20 years got to see them loads of times and they are really good

  • what did he play

  • he played the flute or the piccolo in the band

  • cool cool

  • this is such a great tune,it just runs through me like water through a straw

  • hahaha that's an interesting simile... it requires gravity? or suction? or it to be a specific temperature?

  • i love it this suits them some how i would love to see them live

  • this suits them some how

  • My fave Disney tune..love their slow march...

  • Wow how talented are these people? wow

  • made me all tingly! love it!

    such musical skills!

  • Yeh right aznyoun get a life you dont know shit ofc the US has to be the best at all things in your mind stupid stupid dip shit

  • actually the United States does not have the finest military bands sorry to say, I've heard afew and.. they are ok not great. The Central Band of the Canadian Forces and Ceremonial Guard are extremely good bands. As for the selection of the RM's in this video it was probably requested by the event organizers since part of a Mil. Band repitoire is popular music. You clearly are not a military musician, the general feelings between mil. bands is they are just doing a job, not really competing.

  • As I said

The finest marching band in the world,

I will follow you where ever you lead

  • makes me cry dat after a few beers lol

  • Woo piccolo xD

  • this is a band and a half.

  • i have to say i like the royal marines uniform they look like old firemens uniform :D

  • Don't you mean the old firemens' uniform looks like the marines' ;P

  • iv got this image of a drill seargent shouting in a soldiers face "tell me princess, what does your heart desire?" haha

  • seen these guys loads of times they never fail to amaze me ..... i were once auditioned for a drummer with these back in 1988

  • im sooo joing the royal marine band

    when i leave uni!!!!

    awesomeee

  • soooooooooo cool!

  • A military band playing Disney tunes? England has such a deep and enduring tradition of incredible military marches. One of my favorite British marches is Kenneth Alford's "Army of the Nile," which commemorates the victory of the Eighth Army over the Nazis.

    /watch?v=H1xy5p9pIPk

  • The mace is only used to indicate military drill and to end pieces of music. It is not used to conduct the music.

  • I'm surprised they use a mace. you would think they would use military baton

  • im going off to join the marines band.

    cant wait.

  • remember that if you join the U.S. Marine Corps it's not guaranteed that you will join the marine's band.

you may join and then be re-assigned as quickly as you can play a whole note.

and your recruiter may tell you that you will join the band but what he doesn't tell you is that its not guaranteed trust me.I have a close cousin who wanted to do the same thing.

he joined the band but got re-assigned a week before his first performance.

  • Actually...if you are assigned to the United States Marine Band (The President's Own), you are guaranteed a spot. Granted it is one of the most difficult positions to get. You must pass an extensive audition/interview process, meet physical/mental criteria, and obtain top-secret security clearance for White House access. Members of this group start off as Staff-Seargent's and do not need to go to boot camp.

  • Keep in mind that he's from the UK - you can apply to join the Royal Marine Band Service, but you need to be proficient on both a wind and a string instrument as well as passing the fitness tests etc.

  • God I love these guys!! Imperial March, Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Carribean... so amazing!!!!!

  • thats really good!

  • Wonderful :D

  • Good job. I love this song.

  • best band in the world without question. went to c them today in solihull for the royal star and garter charity.exellent!

  • Beautiful!

  • Funny. :)

  • Im part ov t.s rhyl band and hav met the royal mrines as they av dun sum parades with us! also performed in the theatre close by quite alot ov times! fair doos to them they are very smart and hell ov a gud! keep it up!

    XOX<3XOX

  • that was pretty i want my band 2 play that song one day...that piccolo part was pretty

  • Its hard to tell when they are in uniform, But I believe there are a few black people in the band, and definately in the marines.

I met a Sikh officer, who has a Green Turban, Where they attached the cap-badge to that as it is his religion, rather funny. But. Lol

  • was he in the royal marines? (the sikh officer)

  • Amazing band, I'm proud to say I myself was once part of the Royal Marines Band Service!

  • are their any black people in the royal marines band?

  • a few, maybe?

  • Military bands intend to play whatever music is popular at the time and of course apealing to the public.

  • That (as well as the above comments) make sense. Might as well play something besides marches when performing for the public.

  • they played the disney music because of all the kids at the event

  • I find it odd that a military band would play Disney music.

  • They play a lot of film music. I've played beauty and the beast with one! lol
