This song is so amazing that I'd probably enjoy any rendition as long as it's sung with feeling -- including this one. But to say they outperformed the original Dire Straits version is like saying that Milli Vanilli outperformed a Jimi Hendrix song. To be clear, I don't begrudge anyone who happens to prefer this version - but this is not just my opinion; it can be scientifically proven! :)

The Dire Straits version is excelent, but there's no denying this cover is another song entirely. I would personally, given the choice, choose this version any time. But that's not relevant. This cover is my favorite song ever, but credit where it's due: there would be no cover without the original. Thank you, Dire Straits!

@iiwolfeh There are a lot of references to Shakespeare's play. The themes in this song are very similar to the imagery sets in the play itself. Such as "Light Vs. Dark" " Fate" and " Stars". All of these themes can be found in the play itself. It may not be about them, but it's definitely been influenced by Shakespeare's play and makes some obvious references.
