  • Please date you'r videos intel :)

  • well there is weeks to go and he dropped a balls in the scalability nahalem platform haha scale 4, 6 and 8 before the decade is over haha there is 3 -4 weeks left of this decade and the 5500 still has 4 cores. the cheek to pile it into the westmere squeeze more money out of are already empty pockets for another 2 years before we see the real HPC multicore xeons on the market. He said it 8 cores can fit on a nahalem so should be able to get 9 or 10 to a westmere then

  • approaching star treck

  • hah okay cores will be compared to cylinders in engines........OOOO I have 24cores beyoothhh.....Your brain will not be able to *multi task* that much? :]x!

  • rapidshareuploads blogspot

  • im sorry but why we need 6cores when game developers didn't yet write codes for 4cores, they barely implemented 2. so why we need 6 wtf..

  • Because life is all about pushing the limits.

  • because its not the end of the decade yet!! im sure ull c games and apps compatible with 6< cores by the end of the decade...

  • Wtf are u talking about? They made alot of games for 4< cores...... Plus theres alaways a first time. You never know when some company will write one for 6 cores......

  • because these arnt made for games specifically. comptuers arnt just made for games.

  • Maybe because people do more things than play games on computers. Jeez, that's a narrow point of view.

Stick to your 65nm core 2 duo if you like, the world moves on.

  • were talking about xeons here this is intel trying to compete with the large supercomputing market. Intel has been focused for years on user desktop experience not to mention mores law(make it smaller) and there xeons have been lacking in HPC until they developed High K gate mainly for the desktop market but seen the potential boost for there server processors we need hundreds of cores for servers medical machines and workstations not really in PC's hence the xeon
