worst mattress i spent my money on. the reason why I bought this system was due to back pain but now the problem I have is that me and my wife can't sleep because of the noise the base makes; and the back pain? well for the first few month it felt like it was getting better but nop! it's back. Don't think I didn't try to have the company exchange the base because they changed it 3 times until I had it and when I tried to get my money back ?

@tortaspati Tried everything and the best solution is a water bed, the new ones have a felt pad system in the mattress that absorbes the water and stabalises the bed.

I'm looking at mattresses all over online and I want a firm mattress. Most are 5.5 density but some have 2 layers and some have 3. What should I look for to find a nice firm mattress. For example, some mattresses have a 4" base and a 4" 5.5 density level of memory foam, would this be firm? I live in the middle of nowhere so its hard for me to try out memory foam...

No they are not. They will be warmer underneath you but not hot. I have been sleeping on one for 2 years and during the summer we sleep with a top sheet.
