I was ~10 years old when this game came out in 1987. Always bugged that wasn't able to finish. At two quarters a game it was expensive! This song has been stuck in my head for years. Finally went and found the game and beat it! What great synergy. Am curious what other music Zuntata and composer Hisayoshi Ogura did. Learned Zuntata composed for a new Darius arcade game. Search for "z-field zuntata" and there's samples on the bands home page (translate it). Pls ping me if you know other sources.

Lmao, do you even have any idea how few of the Japanese games are known, exported or translated over to the west? Probably about 5%, if not less. And those that make it through are severely remade, usually for the worse.

Well, it is true on some points. Non Asian developers are good at a certain genre, such as FPS's, and driving games. Hell, even I like a few games made by Non-Asian companies. I was just mostly focusing on the licensed games based off of our franchises such as cartoons, movies, toy, and comic book franchises. All I am saying is that if we learn from the Japanese with the games they created, Non Asian developers can make great games, and they do, its just they have a while to catch up to them.

I think the japanese do have some distinct "flavors" that are very unique and appealing. Their creativity is boundless and their influence is obviously apparent in popular culture. Currently though, I think japan has alot to catch up with in terms of technical capabilities because from my perspective they're falling behind.

agreed. I want to someday make video games, and as a Canadian they'd obviously be Western games, but they certainly will not be Western style games. They will be very Japanese flavoured, y'know? @dave55811 Yes, this zuntata soundtrack was first in the taito's single / triple screen coin-op version and a bit later on also on amiga (maybe not ingame, not sure, but at least for the game loading intro). I guess the 520 st version had it as well but not sure too. Rocking cyborg-ninjas robots... :) This soundtrack is definitely part of the game. Without it, I would have feel playing half of it.

Ninja Warriors was one of the few arcade video game that I ever mastered (i.e. complete the entire mission with only one Quarter), and the main reason I loved that game was the music provided by ZUNTATA was so awsome and matched the game play so well.

I was initially answering someone giving all the tribute to Zuntata for Daddy Mulk, apparently not knowing about Ninja Warriors, the primary reason for me to end up in this page. It was an awesome co-operation between both talented teams : Zuntata + Taito. All these teams deserve to be famous even without those cool co-operations, no doubts at all. Be sure I am very concerned about soundfx, specially computer aided and game oriented.
