I know about that UT2k4 shockrifle in UT99. AFAIK the creator of that mod had to actually reduce polygons to get it into UT99 without the LOD system tearing it apart. The polygon count for the weapons imported into UT2k4 have unchanged polygon counts from UT3. They actually slightly lag the engine because they're so complex.
@ASLY702 If I did that the models would be barely recognizable. Every UT3 weapon has more polygons than a UT99 map. I was actually shocked they imported successfully into ut2004 at all.
@mfelix93 Nope. There's a thread on the Epic Games forums about the mod detailing the progress of the mod, pictures included. It's actually well under way and the last weapons are being finished up by mod author GreatEmerald.
i am also doing that, importing ut3 models into ut2004, I am also using umodel (just have the link gun for now), and the "Fire" and "AltFire" animation is wrong. I had to use 3DS MAX to put the link gun in place and resise it and the animations apear god there, but in the "UnrealEd" and "InGame" the animation makes the weapon move side ways, insted of makin, for example the weapon "AltFire" doesn't opens the gun and goes foward and backwards, just side ways.Can you help me? Thanks
@Skaarjguy I have used the original animmation to. Did you rotated the mesh in 3ds MAX or in the UEditor so they apeared in the right place "InGame"? If you used 3ds MAX did you moved the bones and the mesh, just the bones or just the mesh? If possible I would like to receive instructions step-by-step. Thanks for the help.
@Skaarjguy Did you rotated the Animation or the model? I rotated the model and saved the package and it didn't apered "InGame". Also rotated the animation and it didn't apered in game. @100GPing100 I can't quite remember, but I recall rotating the mesh itself. I can't remember if you're supposed to rotate it in the mesh properties or in the weapon properties.

This coment is that the Link Gun bug is because you are using the weapon not as a mutator, so the game gets a texture of the default UT2k4 Link Gun and aplies it to the gun.

@100GPing100 Actually, it IS a mutator, so the problem is in the code. When you fire the Link Gun in UT2k4, the skin changes to a different skin. However, when you change the inital skin and model, the code still changes it back to that skin when you fire.
And I can't make the coder hurry up, he has like two other projects going, so it'll take some time for him to finally get to the Link Gun.
I'm just waiting for the coder to get his new computer so I can send the files to him. A LOT of animations need to be fixed, as well as the stupid Weapon skin changing bug.

P.S.: I had to rotate the model in the 3ds MAX so they apered in the right place "ingame".
