I love the tone of this guitar. I have flat wound strings on it because I want a jazz sound. It's great for practicing accoustic, and wonderful playing amped.
I've never heard any archtop that is "loud" compared to, say, a dreadnought. Different styles. Apples and oranges.
I have a Gretsch also. I prefer the acoustic sound of the Eastman. I play Gretsch amped only for rockabilly, and blues.
WOW! WHAT SONG IS U PLAYING i LOVE THAT SOUND LET ME NO, THANKS REAL GOOD PLAYING

Why do you want an archtop?

Hi,
How is the acoustic tone (unplugged) of this guitar and how does the acoustic tone compare with other hollowbodies like Gretsch etc?
I'm looking for an archtop with a loud unplugged sound.
