black macbook got a shitty intel x3100, macbook pro(base model) got a intel HD3000(a decent chip overall)

also pls note, that macbook got an intel core 2 duo@2.26ghz, macbook pro 13 got intel i5/i7@2.3/2.7ghz cpu and 4gb ddr3@ 1333mhz, maximum ram for black macbook is 4gb(ddr2), for mbp is 8 or 16gb i don't remember.. and mm well ..no multitouch on macbook, neither backlight s keyboard

@greenday4u yes. my first mac was an old iBook G3 that was almost 10 years old and even then it worked pretty good for me. Then I stepped up to the black MacBook, and now a MacBook Pro. So I think starting at a Black MacBook would definitely be a good choice, and you can always upgrade later down the road if you like what you have.

@greenday4u I "inherited" my mom's black macbook 2 years ago which she was using for 2 years... its still running really good and fast even though the battery is coming off (i dropped it :P) granted i know alot about computers so i know how to maintain it... If you have enough money i would upgrade the RAM to 6GB (i got 4 and its a huge difference) and change the Hardrive to a SSD... well worth it...

@UltimateGamer600 1. The white/black macbooks are no loner made. The new white macbooks (non-pro) do not have firewire, etc. I would suggest getting the pro. 2. The cases are still compatible for both as both the MacBook (old and new) and MacBook Pro 13" are all the same size, so all cases should work.

i have the white version of the black macbook its falling apart theres tape all around the edges the disc drive is broken and it wont connect to my printer. fortunately ill be getting a macbook pro in a few weeks.

Does anyone know where the holes are for the fan? There are fans, and I know where they're placed, I just don't get where the holes would be.

@moviesunrated The fans are pretty quiet. And no, if you close the screen, the vents are still free. I can't post a link in this comment, but if you look in the video description, I added two links to photos showing the vents when it is open and when it is shut.

Does the MacBook Pro seem to get hot?

@moviesunrated The speakers are under the keyboard, and near the hinge so the sound just comes out everywhere. And yes, sometimes it will get warm but not too hot.

yes, i wish there was more then 2 usb ports....but why can't you put a CD in? I can play CD's just fine. Just slide it in the right side where the slot is, open iTunes and crank it up!
