  • and this is why we're American and not Irish....

  • oh gawd this is hilarious!

  • you're fooling no-one with the accent!!

  • Dance exercise programs are crap for beginners with no dance experience because they cannot follow them but are a fun little warm up for those who do dance.

  • Gee...everything looks fun and appealing with Irish music!

  • they really need to turn-out! it's driving me CrAZY!!

  • @shellyhathaway Come on now Shel, this is step aerobics: you need a natural walking motion. If they turned out, they'd likely hurt something!

  • @1skinnygirl actually turn-out prevents injury ;)

  • @shellyhathaway ;) A little turn-out to be sure, for balance as well. And I definitely want to see it on the "heel-toe". But full-blown turn-out on some of the marching steps...yowza. I want to get aerobics-cert, this is all making me curious!

  • awsome she is my aunt

  • i love it just wish they wouldn't either changed background or wore color.

  • Intro tune is Congress Reel; jig is the Irish Washerwoman and reel is Rakes of Mallow. All music on cd!

  • what is the name of the song?

  • WoW

    I LOVED IT = )

    thanks for sharing it

gracias por compartirlo, me encanto :)

  • this is actually such a good work out, and it was fun! thankyou.

  • ummmm cute?... lol. deffinately not irish dance (but at least they got that it was jig playing in the background) but cute i guess.

  • sorri but this looks more lyk line dancing lol

  • Amazing!!!!!! Very funny complimets!!!

  • Nothing wrong with salsa or hip hop. But with St. Patty's day upon us I want to teach them this. To teach my students every type of dance I can, opens the world to them. Could you please tell me the names of the songs.

  • That aerobics video was FUN FUN FUN!! I've always loved Irish dancing and im so glad that all of the most popular moves have been integrated into this DEE-LIT-EFUL routine! Thanks so much jigmistress, this video is great!

  • "wee bit of exercise" haha...what an overstatement.

  • well, maybe for a twentysomething, gymrat or irish step dancer...but, for us old ladies, who don't want to work out to hip hop or salsa, or "remember to breathe", this is great. Real women, real bodies. Something I can do and enjoy.

  • I love this concept. I am in my 30's but have osteoperosis from the depo shot. I had 2 very bad breaks in my leg last year & can't do alot of the normal excercises or dances anymore. This is perfect for people like me because it's low impact yet fun. Plus I get to hear beautiful music & not the horrid stuff with vulgar lyrics that they call music now.

  • funny... omg

  • it could only be the americans who could come up with something like this

  • great idea but.......

  • The Jig isn´t sassy at all, the title is "Irish Washerwomans" the Reel contains "Mairie's Wedding"

  • Well, if you haven't been laughing at a ceili, maybe you need to get a life! And if you can read, this isn't Irish dancing, it is aerobics. Not everyone can be the elitist Irish dancer - and I have been a student of "real" dancing all my life.

  • these people should really get a life as this is nothing at all to do with irish dancing except for the music. this is how things get a bad reputation u wouldnt even get up at a ceili to do that people would have a laugh

  • I agree. Irish step dancing is difficult. This is fun - more like ceili or dancing at an Irish wedding - something that people who can't dance can do. Besides seems like it would be nice to work out to some Irish music.

The music is grand. The more people get to hear and move to an Irish fiddle, the better!

  • catch urself on there is nothing energetic about wot ur doing im ana irish dancing teacher and i teach adults and they get far more exercise in my class learning proper dances than wot ur doing here very dissappointed in this

  • well maybe some adults might not care about learning the proper steps, i mean after all they are very difficult to master. i think this is good for people who just love irish music and aren't interested in learning all the "proper" difficult steps

  • I wish she used more actual dance moves!!! I have about 50 drills that anybody can do that would be much more benificial than that "Irish cross". The idea is great, but the execution is lacking. aw well. Irish dance can be the most aerobic activity apart from sprinting, and really anybody can do it. I hope this inspires people to get into a dance class and not just the gym.

  • I totally agree with yoo. I just started taking Irish dance classes and they are definetly more aerobic than this....not to mention I get to learn to dance in the process. I'm having a lot of fun too!

  • great!

  • This was great! I' going to remember this the week of St. Patrick's day to have my aerobic classes do. :) Thanks! :)

  • This is a brilliant idea. Love the Sassy Jig

  • reminds me of the Sunday ceilis.

  • What a fun idea to turn the classic Irish dancing into a today's workout.

  • Great approach to irish jogs

  • Very impressive! A clever combination of dance, fun and exercise. The ladies look good in black; makes me want to dig out my leotard and jump around and jig, just for fun.

Clever name, too....Overall quite well done!
