Haha! Andre the Giant -- nice mug. Im currently drinking on some of this Mothership right now. BUT, you should give Lucky Bucket's pre-prohabition lager a try.
@macrent2 Ranger is a very good IPA. The Mothership, and all wheat beers to a certain extent, does have a slight sourness to them. Thanks for watching!
i didnt care for the spicy cider like taste . i love new belgum but i prob wont buy the motership again . btw have you had the 1554 it is my personal new belgum favorite.
i like your review, but dude, the way you walk ito the camera with your helmet and gear like you JUST got back from your ride is kinda pretentious bro, because we all know that you had to take the time to get out your camera and get it all set up for the video filming, and are we to assume that you did all of this wearing your helmet? LOL, i know i know, im kinda trollish, but still, the theatrics dont suit you. btw i LOVE motherships wit,
@tuberleerix Well, it was only about 2 minutes after I got back from the ride. I like to have some fun with the videos, they are supposed to be at least mildly entertaining, right? Either way, the Mothership is a great beer and perfect after a bike ride.
i know, and i apologize i was feeling a little trollish last night, but your vid do not warrant my 'tude, great vids, i really enjoy them, and i feel sorry for andre as well! :(
@tuberleerix No problem! Your comment was only "slightly" trollish so I wasn't that offended. As for Andre, he has had some bad beers but every once in a while I treat him to a good beer. Cheers!
@fraginat0r The Mothership Wit is a good beer but it is on the lighter side. Have you tried any of their Lips Of Faith series? The La Folie (a sour ale) is very good.
@ZebZachary Mothership Wit should be released soon. I will definitely try the Hoegaarden, probably in the next month or so. Witbeers are great for warm days sitting in the sun.
We love our backyard. It has a lot of trees and the deck is a great place to sit and enjoy it (except for the mosquitoes). We're getting the deck rebuilt with a section of it screened in so that should help a bit.
Natural Ice? Good Lord! Yeah, I feel bad for Andre too. I have a hard time accepting the fact that Natural Ice is even a beer. Good come back though. Mothership is an excellent way to bring Andre back to the 'real beer world'. Cheers!
Love the intro music: "The Things You Said." DM is the best! I haven't tried any Colorado beers, but people just keep going on about them on this site that I'll have to break down and get myself one one of these days.
I told Andre that he would probably be participating in a few more bad beer reviews with me. But, I will try and mix in a couple of good big beers with the bad.
The Andre mug is my favorite. I got it so long ago and it's moved with me all over the place. You should be able to get a big mug like that somewhere, though it won't have "the 8th wonder of the world" on it like mine. Try pubglasses (dot) com.
If New Belgium gets to NY Mothership Wit will be one of the beers they "lead" with.
You're probably right. Luckily it's good enough beer that I won't have any problem doing it. Mothership Wit will always be in my "regular rotation", especially in the Summer.
Haha, I love the apology! Great video once again!

I've never seen this beer in a 22, let alone with that cover.

@GrotesqueKevin The beer was a special release to acknowledge New Belgium's availability in Georgia.

I like the New Belgium Ranger IPA the best. The Mothership Wit is a bit sour for my taste and takes some getting used to.

When your pour down a "witbeer" like we call it in Belgium, you should stop at about 3/4 of the beer.
Swingle the bottle a couple times( yeast is everywhere:more flavour:) and then you pour it down.

@toketokekill704 Many wheat beers have a similar taste as this. The 1554 is pretty good. I've had it but haven't done a review of it yet.

You really should try the original Belgian white (witbier) : Hoegaarden (pronounced, "who garden").
The Mothership Wit looks very similar to it, in color.
Hoegaarden is my current favorite beer (although relatively hard to find in my area).
I am going to try and locate some Mothership Wit and give it a try.
Cheers, mate.

Yeah, Natural Ice is beer, but barely. I wouldn't choose to drink it again. On the other hand, Mothership is a great beer.
Look for Andre to make another appearance as I do another "king can" review.

I got a mug just like that one minus the awful cartoon character on the side. I like to use it for the hefe weissen in the summer .
Cheers!

Hey, Andre is not a "cartoon character", he's a real person (or at least was). Show some respect please :-)
Glad you liked the review.

No need to apologize. If you're going to be a beer critic you gotta take the good beer with the bad.
I need to get a big mug like that, not sure where to get one, though.
I've heard good things about this beer, I'll have to try it if I can find it.
