i'd probably try confectoinary sugar cuz regular sugar would probably weigh it down and not make it fluffy, but you should try looking up a recipe on line because it could be regular sugar too.
I really clear demonstration - I have made mine just with sugar and egg whites but will try adding lemon and vanilla - sounds good. Why do you add salt? What does that do to the mix? I was not taught that but wondered if it was something to do with American recipes?
I've got a tip on that in my demostration! I whisk until I can hold the bowl over my head...upside down. They will still be runnier than meringues made with an electric mixer. Are you sure you didn't get some egg yolk in when you seperated the eggs?
thank you following your insturcions to the finest detail i have made meringue for me and my family, they said it tasted like heaven. all thanks to you.

tbh u should reli whisk at a slower speed and when adding the sugar do it a little at a time.. not to seem arrogant

i didn't have a mixer so i used a whisk, even after more than 30 min whipping it, the results were runny meringue, what should i do next time
