  • @ShownMercy I hope you know that I get it that you are making a "catty" (lol) remark about his whiskers. But I don't know why you would. Seems kind of snarky to me. Sorry, but that's what people do when they have a beef with someone, but not a leg to stand on with which to engage and debate.Maybe you ought to listen and if you can find where Scripture clearly shows an error, then point it out. Or am I just not getting you, somehow?

  • Great video! Scripture-based and unafraid to deal directly with tough questions, your crisply crafted discussions will grab the attention of many a struggling pilgrim and help them see not only the path, but the distracting elements and features of the world, trying to get us and keep us off the path. God bless your work.

  • I really like your videos, but you keep misquoting Matthew 23:37!

  • Doesn't the "time sequence" presuppose that God is confined by the space and time that He alone created and transcends? I'm judgin' not just sayin', yo!

  • what?

  • To me Lutheraism seems like Roman Caholicism light.

  • @bondservant4jesus haha. It's true Catholicism, the true ancient Church's teaching. To me, your position just seems like modernist rationalism light. XD cheers!

  • @Revfiskj Perhaps, if I knew what that meant. :P

  • @Revfiskj But I have more reason to not like it as my mother grew up with it.

  • @bondservant4jesus So if you could be more specific with what you mean by modernist rationalism light, I would appreciate it, because I don't know what it means. Thanks. :)

  • @bondservant4jesus I think I need to be more specific, because I do not mean offense. I don't mean in the sense I don't think Lutherans are hertics, what I mean to say some of the traditions I do not like, because I believe they reflect some of the Roman Catholic Church. I know that Lutherans are protestants. So I think I should be more clear. And like I said I don't even know what Modernist is. But I still don't agree that communion is literal blood and body of Christ.

  • Wait, God's not inside you? What is the Holy Spirit? Isn't that God?

  • I will say the same thing as I say to a Roman Catholic, how can the communion be body and flesh of Jesus when it does not look or taste like flesh. Also, the disciples would freak out if it was, because Peter freaked out just about God telling him to eat meat that was unclean.

  • 4:20....you seem like a smart guy and have studied allot about this, so how then have you missed that the Jews are talked about clearly in the bible that they ARE going to reject Jesus as King? stunning for someone that talks so smart......

  • @hemet92544 They did reject Jesus. If he had been there to set up a political, earthly kingdom, they would have welcomed him with open arms.

  • @calvinjluther wait, you are right, but, I do not mean what the "Jews think and view", I said what the bible says, ie what God says was going to happen. okay? :-)

  • @calvinjluther PS, you state, the Jews "weren't supposed to reject Jesus" according the the bible, about the 4:20 on your video, when again, the bible clearly states they where going to do so

  • @hemet92544 ...I didn't make this video. Revfiskj made this video. And, again, they rejected Jesus. What do you think they meant by "Crucify him"? Also, the Bible says a lot. Can you give me some verses?

  • I do enjoy your video's! I have passed them on to some of my friends who don't believe in hoping they see that listening to scripture can be a fun & interesting thing and in hopes they will also be saved! Thanks and God Bless! I am Proud to be a Christian!! <3

  • You could do an awesome Williaim Shatner/Capt Kirk I'd wager.

  • It appears you have some chocolate milk on your lip and you may also have gotten some on your chin.. My suggestion would be to snuggle up with your cat and he will surly like it right off. Good luck!

  • @ShownMercy lol Oh, well. He's still so cool and humble! And he's got strong faith and shares it well. And he is blessed with a wonderful gift of articulation, and being truly Biblical. Being able to back it all up with Scripture is a beautiful thing for many of us--here in a world of post-modernistic views which are not fully truthful. He's young and has a ton of passion and energy. And that is something God is using, for sure.

  • BRAVO!

    Absolutely best yet!!

  • Thumbs up for the Issues, Etc. 24 clip at the end!

  • Great video!

I actually replayed parts of it but it all makes sense.

I was thinking about how having faith is really an act of God, yet rejecting faith is an act of man (is that putting it correctly?), and I typed out a huge comment explaining the wonderful logic behind this concept, but then I decided I wasn't making a ton of sense because this simply isn't concrete enough for me to talk about it in a short period of time. It just makes sense because, being the truth, nothing can possibly make

  • Thank you for this! Your answer to the question numero quatro is great, and fits so perfectly in to what my church caregroup briefly discussed this past Wednesday (the question of whether God actually predestines some to damnation, etc.).

Also, that ending was probably the most beautiful, comforting, and Scriptural description of baptism I have ever heard. Thank you!

  • @Revfiskj - It's a debate we are currently having in my circuit with one of the brothers. Just thought I'd get your take on the issue. Thanks!

  • Calvinists do have a crux theologorum in their theology which most Lutherans are unaware of: "Human responsibility and Divine Sovereignty". It is a Law-Gospel distinction in salvation. It is not usually dealt in predestination but it's there in reformed theology. Good vid otherwise.

  • Just out of curiosity - How would you respond to someone who says, "God predestines to conversion; but not to salvation. This is why some who have come to faith can still fall away."

  • @RohdeDW Hmmm...in short, "You're creating definitions where Scripture has none. Conversion *is* salvation. And when you fall away, you do so by refusing to believe in your own salvation - it's the only unforgivable sin."

  • Calvin still had a better beard though.

  • @the13thof12 No he didn't! :) Google "Junker Jorge". Luther's beard was sweet action. Or? Did you mean than me? Yeah.....

  • @Revfiskj Yes, better than yours. Calvin's beard was total sweet action!

  • Yup. I'm becoming a Lutheran.

  • I just want to let you know that these videos are extremely useful to me and my friends who are in college. It's great for our age students, and especially helps us who are pre-sem. Your talk is very down to Earth and easy to use in references when talking to others about Lutheranism. From students at Concordia University, Ann Arbor, we want to say thank you, and the peace of the Lord be with you.

  • RIGHT on,

     Preach it brother, Amen,
