If cops take to long to get to the crimescene, then you should make sure there aint a crimescene - invest in education so that everyone has proper training to get jobs - make more funds available for cops so they can cover more ground. Better education = better chance at work = less poverty = less crime. 70% of all crime worldwide is commited out of poverty. You take that away and the world is a safer place. I agree with people buying guns. There are many reasons why they do that, and I frankly don't care, as long as they go through a background check. However, the notion that having guns is somehow going to stop the government from spreading its power is just simply preposterous. The government doesn't fear the people, that's why they got away with The Patriot Act, and the Freedom of Speech Zones, and the interment of Japanese Americans in 1942. Owning guns wont stop any government.

If the Fort Hood tragedy was a result of the Texas arms trade, then 9/11 was the result of the commercial air transport industry. If soldiers were allowed to to carry their firearms on base, this terrorist would have been killed long before the police arrived, and many lives would have been saved. Columbine is the clearest answer that people who shouldent be able to get guns have acces to them, Where was it that this asian guy shot people at school? pensylvania or MIT? Fact is - Security measures at schools in the US are like 100% above of wat they should be.
We didnt made the EU cause cause of that - If google correctly you can see that it was originally a trade agreement between belgium, luxemburg and Holland. Only when we motioned to let france, germany and italy in it became the EU.

Last time i checked the gunmen at columbine and that asian where students there - You honestly believe they gonna say 'wow, we cant shoot them here, but we can shoot them overthere'? And to answer your question, I think it does play a role in why they chose a school.
It shouldn't cost anything. Is it every gun owners fault there are bad apples out there? Why take away my right to defend myself because of another's actions. Get it? Simple enough?

There is a lot more to the issues involving gun violence in America, and blaming the guns is a way to scape-goat away from those real issues. You should find out the real reasons we have rampant violence... and stop blaming a single thing for the problems because that's oversimplifying the problem, and really it's just plain ignorant that you could only blame 1 thing: Guns. Suburban schools are not shot up because they are "easy targets" like you say. They are shot up because delusioned, grudge holding, psychopaths have easy access to guns!

If cops take to long to get to the crimescene, then you should make sure there aint a crimescene - invest in education so that everyone has proper training to get jobs - make more funds available for cops so they can cover more ground. Better education = better chance at work = less poverty = less crime. 70% of all crime worldwide is commited out of poverty. You take that away and the world is a safer place. Big brother comon man - i thoughd for a second you where a normal guy - not a paranoid.

I think taking another approach at America's drug policies would eliminate a lot of the gun violence. Since most gun crimes are committed by gangs and in inner cities(when you take out suicides). Where they fight to control the illegal market.

This guy with only 2 handguns managed to shoot over 40 people... on a Military Base where people are not allowed to carry weapons!!!!!
If 10 % of people on the base were carrying, he would have been A.) neutralized in seconds, or B.) pinned down unable to do further damage.
This tragedy illustrates the need to end gun control.
