@sam8110 Herbivore hominids died out millions of years ago except for gorillas and orangutans. humans are omnivores, we are built to hunt, which is why we have high stamina, we have been cooking food for 1.5 million years so we don't need strong acids & multiple stomachs to break down foods (but herbivores do ). herbivores have intestinal tracts that are 25x their body lengths we only have 6, similar to carnivores and scavengers. We're OMNIVORES, hence the alkaline to break down starches.

You cannot eat rice raw, your body unlike a horse would not be able to digest it, eating a raw taro or yam would end your life. humans have been cooking for 2 million years. We dont throw cows/sheep/pigs off of trucks in crates to smash their legs.
And there IS a diference we have *some respect for the animal and its welfare.. Not enough imho but the difference is clear.
Untill China can sort out it's animal welfare there is no hope for it's human rights.
