Oh yes I was stationed at Sangley 63-65. I worked on the flight line. The Sea Sprite helo was new from the factory. We had a VIP plaque "mfgr Kamen Novelty Co." It was junk we sent it back, and recevied a H34. It was great.. There was a large SEATO operation in 64. Thats why the Ausie and Brit A/C. Thanks for the memory..
@whit444 The SEATO operation was called Operation LIGTAS. Our aircraft where painted with red kangaroos courtesy of the Aussies. We returned the favor with miniature Pelicans.
The aircraft at 0:56 looks like a Lockheed EC-121D Warning Star. Lockheed C-130 Hercules at 1:25. Sikorsky H-34 Choctaw at 1:37. Douglas A-3D Skywarrior at 1:49. Douglas C-47 Skytrain at 2:16 Avro Shackleton at 2:34 Kaman UH-2A Seasprite at 3:50 Convair F-106 Delta Dart at 5:18 Lockheed P2V-5 Neptune at 6:53 I love the aircrafts from the 50s and 60s, thanks for the video!
