I did shahada in 2006 as well. I have attended sectarian highschool and university, allowing me to study Christianity and the Bible in more details. Learning about Islam is not at all new but a very significant reminder. May ALLAH be praised. I am set free.
"You shall give your adopted children names that preserve their relationship to their genetic fathers. This is more equitable in the sight of GOD. If you do not know their fathers, then, as your brethren in religion, you shall treat them as members of your family."( 33:5) clearly the verse does not prohibit adoption, clearly god knows people are adopting not only that HE TELLS YOU TO TREAT THEM LIKE FAMILY, the only thing it says is KEEP THEIR FAMILY NAME if you know it. people make things up
yes thats true, i think the sheikh meant adoption as in the orphan taken in TAKING the name of his/her adoptive family...fostering is alright, which is what u said basically.
exuse me halludba 86 if you read that hadith carefuly which states when the prophet said to fatima that he is a salaf he didn't say salafi refer to the fataawa of shiekh al-bani which can be downloaded from salafi web sites because you adding you own additions to the prophets words something he didn't say so you must careful in case you may well be attributing a lie on the prophet and prophet warned against attributing sayings to him which he didn't say.(refer to saheeh al-bukhari no. 107)
Envy and jealousy is what I see in the non Muslims that post these messages... the beauty about these 2 are...IT HAS NO CURE. It always increases and reaches a point that they cant sleep, eat or enjoy life the inner peace is lost. They being here and cussing us proves that it is true. It makes us sleep much better at night knowing they are burning with it..
Did you know muhammed and his followers, disguised in pilgrims, attacked and robbed the Mecca caravan at Nakhla? Then he attacked the caravan of Abu Sufyan at Badr where he killed the relatives of his followers but spared his ones.
Did you know he expeled from Mecca the Banu Qaynuqa Jewish tribe, taking their goods? Do you know he ordered the decapitation of all men and boys from Banu Qurayza Jewish tribe (700 people) and after killing them enslaved the women and children and took the goods?
[33:26] And He brought those of the People of the Scripture who supported them down from their strongholds, and cast panic into their hearts. Some ye slew, and ye made captive some.
[33:27] And He caused you to inherit their land and their houses and their wealth, and land ye have not trodden. Allah is ever Able to do all things.
[4:24] And all married women (are forbidden unto you) save those (captives) whom your right hands possess. It is a decree of Allah for you...
Did you know he ordered many people to be stoned, for example a women that commited fornication (Sunan Abu-Dawud Book 38, Number 4426, in this are related several stonings: usc.*edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/hadithsunnah/abudaw ud/038.sat.html, without* ). Jesus saved a woman from stoning (John 8, 1-11).
To receive punishment for fornication there have to be four male witnesses or an admittance by the person (it's not just women), therefore it was usually a choice by the person as a means of repenting in this life. Allah makes it nearly impossible to receive punishment without wishing it in this manner. Also stoning is only for adultery when it comes to fornication. Would you prefer repentance in this life or the next? Furthermore, there is a hadith stating that, [(next post)]
it is better to hide a sin and repent on one's own than to receive the hadd (punishment), because this allows the person to continue to do good. Your religion claims prophets who were liars and sinners. This is not an accusation your bible says it outright. Furthermore the passage you cited is not referring to sex it is referring to marriage. Also the woman could not have two husbands so the married slave would have to get divorced which, while I cannot provide a citation, ([next post)]
I do not know of anywhere it says an owner can force a divorce of a slave. Oh, and on the issue of slavery, there were limits as to the length a slave could remain in slavery. Also, if the allotted custody was over slaves were treated so well that they would often nail themselves by the hand to their owner's door and remain for extended amounts of time in order to be accepted back into custody. Mistreatment of slaves, animals, prisoners, etc. is a horrible sin in the Qur'an. [(next post)]
LOL...what u quoted is from the bible...here let me refesh your memory.."Now therefore KILL every male among the little ones, and KILL every woman (female) that hath known man by lying (having sex) with him. "But keep ALIVE for yourselves all the GIRLS and all the women who are VIRGINS." NUMBERS 31:17-18 "
Jesus (pbuh) saved a woman from stoning because the ones charging her were the biggest hippocrits and biggest adulterers themsleves. Good grief man, learn your history and give us something to chew on.
Yeah and did you know that the story of Jesus saving a woman from stoning was added later to the Bible. Dude, you've gotta learn the history of the Bible.

You can know a lot more about someone from listening to hours of them, instead of seconds cut and pasted. Watch the responds to "dispatches". watch?v=m3_ZqeR27Mg watch?v=jcOKzcPQkGY
khalifahklothing, I watched Mr. Philips' response to Dispatches and I encourage others to do so as well. I, also, am aware that the imams exposed in the Dispatches program, along with Mr. Philips, lodged a complaint which has, now, resulted in the producers of Dispatches being cleared of presenting, out of context, any of the words of any of the imams exposed in their program. Mr. Philips' and the other imams' words in Dispatches are his and their own. That's all you, or anyone, needs to know.
khalifahklothing, The BBC link you provided is to an Aug. 8, '07 article. The following BBC link, I'm providing, in support of my previous comment, is from a Feb. 28, '08 article, which reads: "In Nov., '07, media regulator Ofcom rejected police...claims the program...distorted the preachers' comments." Now, police are being sued. Aren't Muslims supposed to defend truth even if it means condemning someone who's Muslim, or what they say?
Google (web search): "Police sued over mosque programme"
Well, there are over 200 videos on this channel, many of them by the ones that were supposedly "exposed". The people themselves can listen and decide. Nothing in there was made in private, everything was said in public.
maa'aash allah. the correct answer to AK777's question is that one day he had a frightening dream from which he couldn't wake up, and though he was conscious of other people in the room they didn't know he couldn't wake up, and he realized upon waking that all power is with Allah, subhanawatalah. Despite living in Muslim countries he was not exposed to Islam there. :)
Maa'aash allah to the video, thanks for uploading. :)
Dr Bilal Philips was my Islamic Education teacher at school. I was at Manarat Al Riyadh in Saudi Arabia where Dr Bilal Philips used to teach.
I am so grateful to him that he was my introduction to Islam.
If you ever read this Mr Bilal (thats what we used to call him) then I just want you to know that out of all the teachers in that school you had the most profound effect on me personally! I am fortunate to have been taught by you (Islam and a littlw karate as well!).
He became muslim by reading books and he was living in Malasia, Saudi Arabia and living in the u.k.These influence him greatly and he always had a problem with christians belief.
Excellent video! I have heard Dr. Bilal Philips speak about different aspects of the path that led him to Islam and his works upon becoming a Muslim, but this was so very interesting to hear it in such complete detail and all in one sitting. Thanks so much for uploading.
