The 360 core only has 3 cores so it would have half the physics, plus it maybe would be able to handle the graphics without a smooth frame rate, most ps3 games wouldnt run on 360. Killzone 2 used 6 cores, double the 360. If your not a fanboy and you want to play games like these you should really consider ps3

The game is solely based on story telling. Think of it as a motion picture interactive game. Some of the gameplay can be seen near the end. It's basicly pressing the right button at the right moment, if it fails and your character dies, the story continues to unfold. Although, the exploring mechanics seem very complex and fun, the sole purpose of the game is to have the user feel, relate, and experience the characters situation. I'm looking forward to it!!
Well basically all main four characters are searching for the Origami killer but there is alot more than that ,anyways the game come's out on 25th of February,so all we gotta do is wait.
Actually, this but a fraction of the game. there are also several puzzles you have to solve in order to progress the game, and as for the interactive parts like this, there are parts in the game where you have more than 1 choice to make, adding alot of branches on where the story could go

In Heavy Rain, failure is treated as a part of the story, and if your character dies, the story continues without them, and it can affect later scenes. In fact, every choice in Heavy Rain has a consequence. The only time you use QTE is during the action sequences. Look up some more videos.
no you do not have to play the scene over if you fail. If you fail your charecter dies and you have to continue playing with the other charecters its just affect how the game turns out.
Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain are two totally different styles of gaming though. Where Uncharted 2 remains as THE BEST action/adventure title I've played, Heavy Rain looks like it can be a game for anybody, gamer and non-gamer alike which is what makes it so amazing. Kudos for speaking good on Uncharted 2 though.
The fact that this is just basically a movie with buttons leads me to believe that Alan Wake will be better. Granted if I had a PS3 I might buy this one, and if I had an Xbox 360 I'd get that but because they're both my brothers, and he won't like either, I'm gonna have to pass... :-(

seems similar to the old dreamcast game shenmue. you'll walk around the town city etc yourself but the action parts are hitting buttons at the right times. I liked shenmue so i think this could be good if it goes into a deeper level of detail.

The wii has sold more than both systems and we both know that the wii is not the best console,.....unless your a suburban vegetarian parent of 4 with a white picket fence and want nothing but wholesome, healthy entertainment for your child. hmmm interesting concept... i think it's cool how they do the whole "quicktime events" it makes the whole thing more realistic rather than taking a few bullets to the body and still running around trying to kill the boss. in this, one screw-up and you're dead.
Trust me, you wont be playing this game for the gameplay. And the quicktime events won't bother you.
Just play through indigo prophecy, just try it. It's incredible, nothing out there can even hold a candle to it's storytelling. It's made by the same developer as this game.
It isn't a video game about shooting and fighting.
I think Heavy rain with be similar to marmite; people with either love it or hate it. its certainly breaking new gaming ground, exploring new territory, and for that reason there will be lovers, and haters. but I don't know how you can hate a game you've never played.
you know, I think this is a game worth renting, because the way i see it i'm only gonna be arsed to play through it once and see one ending, and it looks pretty repetitive. It may be immersive as fuck but it all looks a bit.. bland.

seems similar to the old dreamcast game shenmue. you'll walk around the town city etc yourself but the action parts are hitting buttons at the right times. I liked shenmue so i think this could be good if it goes into a deeper level of detail.

Your sales logic is pathetic. The wii has sold more than both systems and we both know that the wii is not the best console,.....unless your a suburban vegetarian parent of 4 with a white picket fence and want nothing but wholesome, healthy entertainment for your child. Its always sales with you xbots. With the slim out, the ps3 has been outselling the 360 and the wii as well, but i know that sales isn' everything. It's titles like Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, Metal Gear, GT5, Heavy Rain, etc.

1) I don't think I've even explained enough about my sales comment for you to even begin to assume what my logic COULD be.
2) I like you conveniently missed the fact that I own both consoles. In other words I spent my hard earned cash I made myself on both systems and, are you listening? I LOVE both.
3) At the end of the day we're all nothing more than colors on a graph in a boardroom.

hmmm interesting concept... i think it's cool how they do the whole "quicktime events" it makes the whole thing more realistic rather than taking a few bullets to the body and still running around trying to kill the boss. in this, one screw-up and you're dead.

Trust me, you wont be playing this game for the gameplay. And the quicktime events won't bother you.
Just play through indigo prophecy, just try it. It's incredible, nothing out there can even hold a candle to it's storytelling. It's made by the same developer as this game.
It isn't a video game about shooting and fighting.

I think Heavy rain with be similar to marmite; people with either love it or hate it. its certainly breaking new gaming ground, exploring new territory, and for that reason there will be lovers, and haters. but I don't know how you can hate a game you've never played.

you know, I think this is a game worth renting, because the way i see it i'm only gonna be arsed to play through it once and see one ending, and it looks pretty repetitive. It may be immersive as fuck but it all looks a bit.. bland.

Most of the people here dissing the game, are those who DID NOT PLAY "INDIGO PROPHECY"
OR "FARENHEIT"....Trust me on this, try getting the indigo prophecy somehow, and play it through once. After ur done wid tat, I'll guarantee you will be wanting this game to come out so bad.
