I am very excited that Obama will likely become the presumptive nominee on Tuesday/Wedensday. But he needs to work on his
press conferences. Sometimes, the long pauses and nuanced explanations about things he really doesn't need to focus on make me cringe. Obama needs to relax, tell a joke or two, dismiss the bad and focus on the good.

I'm surprised no-one has picked up on McCain's false comment that Obama hasn't sat down with General Petraeus. On April 8th 2008, both men literally sat down together at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. I don't think McCain should get away with such falsehoods.
I hear Obama talk alot about change and dreams and thats ok. However thats all I really hear him talk about, I have not heard any specific policy suggestions or anything on WHAT he is going to do. As a first time voter I do believe change is needed, I just need Obama to tell me what that change is and what he wants to do before I vote for him
He has said very specifically what he's going to do, numerous times. When he goes into specifics, people say: how come you're not giving this inspiring speeches? Go to his website to see his plans
It's the 21st century. All the mind numbing details on positions can be found at his website. You can find interviews online where he discusses details about various issues. Google had him visit last year and discuss issues at length, you can find that online. He has given speeches that have gone into nuances of policy. Reactions by others in the audience indicate that he mention some issues at this rally. His speech was much longer than what you see in this short video. Rallies are to inspire.
Don't be fooled by polls. Remember almost all polls are done among those with voting records. Basically those 35 and up. So all these so called swing states do not include any young voters in polling. So be sure to tell your friends and their friends to register. For the first time in our nation's history the young vote will be the voice heard.
This is something you just dont see anymore... Barack is and should be considered an inspiration by women and men (white and black). If for some insane reason he dosnt win the election, a catastrophic mistake will be made. If i was old enough to vote, unlike my parents, i would vote confidently for Barack Obama.

I know a lot of people who say McCain is going to win, but I don't believe it. With this many people, and younger voters.

I hope he does win, but there is a problem. The younger voters actually have to vote this time. The younger voters always talk about their numbers, then they do not show up. And there is such a large group of older voters that DO vote. We will see what happens.

To rebuild the country you need to spend more on the crumbling infrastructure by rebuilding roads and bridges and put people back to work. Invest in schools and universities to produce a new generation of quality scientists and skilled manpower and not just spend on the military industrial complex! Why do you think all the industrial and manufacturing jobs are going overseas?

Forbes has an absolutely outrageous article about Castro supporting Obama - which is the diametrical opposite of what the Cuban dictator actually said. In fact, he criticized Obama. That is the Rove/Republican strategy - no big scandal, but just small lies disseminated every day from now till November. The swing vote in this election will be people who don't do research and just buy these kinds of innuendo and lies. The Obama camp must hone a positive counter-message to that demographic.

i disagree. I don't think Obama, Clinton, or Mccain are any good candidates for the 08' election. Obama has no experience whatsoever, he can only promise you things, we dont even know are going to happen, and not back them up with anything. Clinton, like every other normal politician changes her mind about everything very quickly. Mccain, well....if you still want to be in Iraq and want to invade Iran, then vote for him!
