This helped me so much! The only thing i did different was instead of using batting i used a flannel fabric (i had to do something with all this flannel i have LOL) And i was to lazy to make a loop to hang it on so i just used some grosgrain ribbon haha. Thank you so much! I thought this video was perfect. Awesome.
Part 2: What made this video SO dynamite over the other ones I've seen, is that (1) you're easy to listen to (2) You focus on the sewing...not on you being on camera (3) You're instructions are literally "for dummies" (4) your camera angles / lighting / easy to see - amazing!
Just got done making my FIRST Xmas stocking!!! I had given up on pattern instructions - HATE 'em! I did this literally with the video (pause / start / pause etc)....was done in 30 minutes! I can't believe how simple it was...why can't instructional patterns be the same. You made my holiday!! Thank you so much!!
I am new to your videos but I think I've watched most of them already! I also ordered your ruffled pillowcase dress pattern recently and will be making it as soon as I buy my rotary cutter and mat! Could you tell me -- where did you buy that tiny iron? I love it! It would make things so much easier. I currently sew at the kitchen table and since I have an ironing board that hangs over my coat closet door, there is a lot of back and forth in sewing. That would simplify things so much!
@candicherry1987 Glad you found my videos! I have an entire blog post dedicated to that little iron. Check it out at: craftygemini.blogspot.com/2010/03/little-iron-that-could.html
@nichelle2571 LOL. It may seem easy for some but I'm sure someone out there has an even more efficient way of making the same stocking! It's all about trial and error... just keep practicing!
@TheCraftyGemini Thanks. I am new to sewing. 1 week and just discovered your videos. They are really amazing. I appriciate them. Thanks. I keep saying that I am Youtube taught. lol. Let us know if you are ever teaching in MD.
i think you are great at making these decors and you are so articulate about how its done too. it makes whatever you are doing soooo easy. how cute of an iron you got there by the way!!!!

This was the easiest stocking to make. The tutorial is easy to follow. I made it in under an hour.

I love how you do each tutorial so efficiently and so clearly!
Aside from your obvious love and talent for sewing, you are a very good instructor. :) Thank you!

How do you think of the easiest more efficient way of doing these things? I wish I thought that way.
