i still dont understand why people protest everyone knows bush is a criminal some other form of action should be taken merely protesting is not going to solve anything
Though 64, Bush is like an adorable little child who got his hand in the cookie jar; you can't stay mad at that face. And by "got his hand in the cookie jar" I mean he drove America into the ground.
Well first of all - Toronto is not really a part of Canada. It's flat, geographically boring, and an embarrassment. Notice they're all really ugly. The number of views this post has had (2238 in 10 months) gives u a pretty good idea of how significant this protest was in the scheme of things. Many thanks to our American neighbours who are responsible for our prosperity and security. Thanks for doing a job that others dont have the courage to undertake.
I've never met a muslim terrorist in my life. It's unlawful to bomb a country because terrorists exist in the world. America funds all those muslim terrorists anyway.
there is no such thing as moderate islam or peaceful islam, it's all radical and violent, muhammed was a terrorist and he told his followers to be the same
Furthermore, having travelled extensively myself and not confined myself to left-wing Toronto, I've been to countries that like Bush. Israelis love Bush. Albanians love Bush--he was welcomed warmly just a few years ago by Albanians in Albania who suffered under communism and recognize the the importance of democracy. The Republic Georgia likes George Bush.
These same protesters demand due process for "Canadian" terrorist Omar Khadr, son of the terrorist family.
Surely the looney left can use reason and words and rational arguments if they are so correct. Yet they have to resort to throwing shoes at a painting? What a joke. What a bunch of losers. Don't you people have jobs?
It's a protest. The charge is serious. What the hell do expect? Have you ever seen or been to a protest? Say what you want about the American left, but these people aren't the American left. They are Canadians. Everyone outside the United States hates Bush. So does half of the U.S. This so-called "looney left" has the entire world on its side.
US media portrays bush as a good guy by telling the freedoms that the countries have attained. but in reality, most of the local population in the countries that he 'helped' hate him. the groups of people that cheered the US army must have either been bribed or threatened to do so. of course you have to have your own mind to avoid being swayed by the media
That's complete nonsense. If most of the population hate him, then why did most of the population show up for free elections? Bribed or threatened? You would like to think so, you wanted the US to lose in Iraq, but the US did something great in Iraq.
Thank you to all my fellow Candians for speaking against bush. This should be the norm every time one of these mongrels sets foot in this country.
To all of you who think that any good comes of war, you need to get educated. Iraq and Afghanistan were two countries without Central Banks before they were invaded. Iran is the next largest economy without one. It's a countdown until more bloodshed in that republic.
We should lead by example, not invade peoples countries to maim, kill and rape.
both countries were better off without his 'help'. he killed thousands of innocents. if he really wanted to help the world, he should have helped the Israel-Palestine dispute
Both Countries were better off? Are you serious? Iraq now has free elections, Afghanistan has schools for women, Iraq has free speech, etc. I'm sorry you find fault in those things. Iraqis are willing to risk everything so that they can live with liberty and freedom. That is why millions risked their lives to go to the polls and vote. Freedom is paid for with the blood of others. Thats reality.
"Iraqis are willing to risk everything so that they can live with liberty and freedom."
Check your facts. The majority of Iraqis opposed the U.S. invasion. There was a small minority that requested "liberation." Don't make it seem like Iraqis wanted this.
No, you need to look at news footage from the past - and see the cheering crowds of Iraqis that greeted American soldiers. The small minority you speak of are the Saddam supporters. You seem to support Saddam here too, but I guess you are entitled to your opinion too.
Again, check your facts. Every poll taken since the invasion indicated that the majority of Iraqis did not want us to invade. I don't support Saddam, nor do I support a hasty invasion of a country just because it has an oppressive dictator. There are plenty of countries with govs/leaders that are just as bad or worse. Should we invade them too? The cheering crowds you refer to were a minority. You can believe what you want to believe when it comes to matters of opinion. This is a matter of fact.
Radical Islam is not Bush's fault. Radical Islam is a virus that has killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. When a Muslim suicide bomber detonates themselves in Iraq every week, killing hundreds of other Muslims, either in a mosque or a market, that is not Bush's fault.. Muslims killing Muslims is a problem endemic around the world.
What about the 4,000 people including me who paid to be inside? Why did we outnumber the protesters by a huge margin? Radical Islam is the world's biggest problem
Religion PERIOD is a human fault, dude. There is no sky-daddy to the rescue for anyone whether you practice radacal Christianity IE: Protestant vs Catholic war in Norther Ireland, and others, or take down towers in 9/11. It's ALLLLL about religion. When was the last time an atheist killed an abortion doctor or threatened to kill you kids or your entire family in the name of jesus or mohammed or whatever.
Xx The SoundxX, the US didn't invade Iraq because of an oppressive dictator, the US invaded because Iraq supported terrorism, funded terrorists, threatened our allies, invaded our allies, and a host of other reasons. I believe what I do because I was there, I saw the danger for myself firsthand, and the world is a safer place without Saddam and his regime of thugs. You do support Saddam if you find fault with the US effort. Hasty invasion? ten years of UN resolutions is hardly hasty.
The reality is we invaded them because we said they had weapons of mass destruction. That turned out to be fabricated, so every other explanation we come up with would just be justification not the reason why we invaded. We invaded under false pretenses. And the UN didn't approve of our invasion..they were opposed to it. The UN passed dozens of resolutions in the years prior to our invasion condemning Iraqi policies, but they never recommended invasion. We defied the UN.
Just check the damn receipts. The US government supplied Saddam with arms and military intelligence during the Iraq-Iran war. Iraq was seen as a counter balance to Iran, which had just undergone a revolution. It's common knowledge. Even the military doesn't deny it.
I think you fail to realize his admin's method was wrong. Sure, both countries attained something good, but was it worth it the way it was given?
I do not think unwanted invasion was necessary to help another country. The point is, invasion was necessary because the admin's ultimate intention was not to help women get education or provide liberty and freedom at the U.S.'s expense.
It would be naive to think that's what this invasion was about. And intention is everything.
What it would do is start to show the corruption within the governments of the world and the monetary system... We need try and work within the crappy system that we have because violence will only drag us down to their lever.... Its sad how many people are brainwashed... And its unfortunate that many people cant see the connections between the Hitler regime and what is going on in the US and even Canada... They are recruiting minors for enforcement programs... wake up peeps or i mean sheeps
I was there. the sad thing was that the audience cheered for Bush when he said he made the absolute right decision to invade Iraq when he shouldve kept his focus on Afghanistan.
Are Canadians dumber than Americans?
I mean Hillary was voted off the democratic ticket because he voted yes on the war Iraq. So it shows the American public knows pretty damn well what a disaster that war was. no politician now defends it because it would work against them but the Canadian audience they freakin CHEERED.
What does an accusation of war crimes have to do with liberalism? The allegation has nothing to do with liberalism. Whether or not Bush is guilty of war crimes is another story. But don't bring petty narrow minded politics into it. Take an issue for what it is, not for what ideology you associate it with. And for the record, the meaning of liberalism (which is an awfully general and vague term) changes when you use it in a global sense.

Ya...It's totally Bush's fault that in Iraq, Shiite and Sunni militias blow up each others mosques and markets and show no regard for human life.
He made a lot of mistakes, but Bush is not a "war criminal".
Are Iraqis demanding the return of Saddam Hussein? I think not.
Notice how only 100 protesters showed up? LOL. What a weak weak showing by the Toronto lefty loonies. CUPE surely could do better than that.

Bush is on a par with Idi Amin and Pol Pot. He made Saddam Hussein look like a schoolyard bully compared to what he has done in Iraq.
He´s even murdered his own citizens either through prior knowledge or direct involvement.
You see this as a protest against the US. It most definitely is not. It´s against the scum of the earth who run the country.

Extremes of Any Political Wing are a Joke.
But if you really think that way of Liberalism, I wonder why Every Regime declared an Enemy of the US as well as its supporters are all Right Wing?
Whenever the US invades a Country it fights against the Right Wing and Builds bonds with the Left Wing.
