  • Beautiful speech from the Doctor...

  • Thanks for posting. With Remembrance Day in Canada and Veteran's Day in the USA just the other day I read an article about Remembering the Dogs who were in the War as well as the humans. In the article it mentioned the 'War Dog Memorial' which led me to do a search on it and lead me to this video. I never realized that dogs paid such a big part in war.

  • We have owned, loved and respected Dobermans for over 40 years. What a great tribute to not only Dobermans but also to ALL our War Dogs and Rescue Dogs.

SEMPER - FI -"ALWAYS FAITHFUL" I do wonder, WHO arrived at labelling them UNACCEPTABLE&AGGRESSIVE and disallow them to live with their families in rental properties?? We are constantly turned away even with the GOOD CITIZEN CANINE Certification!! HOW SAD FOR US!!! M. Matthews, Austin, Texas

  • It's not always about us is it.... dogs so beautiful in spirit and heart.

  • Deeply moving indeed... thank you so much for sharing this!

  • Thank you Gunner, Rainbow, Jack and TItan for your love and devotion. I will never, ever forget you. Doberman Pinschers rock !

  • I'm glad those dogs are remembered.

  • Since I was born I have only owned dobermanns. I am now a 26 yr old with a family and I am on my 3rd dobermann. They are the most loyal smart and loving dogs. The ONLY breed in my eyes.

  • I cry every time I watch this. It shows the amazing hearts of these beautiful hero's. Dobie lover for life.

  • WAR DOGS FTW

  • i salute you dog's

  • ...thank you people!

  • They were soldiers.

  • Are there any videos on soldiers buried on guam from ww2?

  • Dogs are genuinely man's best friend...who will truly protect and serve his master until death. In this video, I was moved how these ex-soldiers saluted and honored their former foulr legged comrades who died in a battle serving their contury and saving their lives. Let us love our dogs...not just as pet...but as friend.

  • Love the video! Just checking out some videos on Veterans Day and came across it. Thanks for posting.

  • Thank you for posting this video. It moved me to tears. It is truly humbling to know that these dogs, with their skills and devotion, saved soldiers' lives while paying the ultimate price for their heroism. This memorial was long due these brave and faithful canine soldiers. Semper Fi.

  • Thank you for sharing this video, I did not know some of this information and I have owned Dobermans for almost 20 years. I consider myself a manly man, and this brought tears to my eyes. Especially at 7:14 7:26 when the soldiers saluted the grave of the dogs, I lost it. I did a lil research and found a great DVD called War Dogs of the Pacific, I have ordered it and cant wait to see it.

  • How very right and proper that this memorial should have been made.

  • wonderful video. i take great pride in my dobermans and in the place they have in history. completely off the subject, micheal vick should spend the rest of his life in a tiny jail cell.

  • We have been here many times and it breaks your heart and fills you with pride. God Bless these wonderful dogs.

  • When I was little (about 3 or 4), I remember my grandfather watching a war documentary. There was a man with a dog on a leash. Shells were exploding everywhere. The dog got hit and the soldier was dragging the dog's dead body along the ground.

It traumatized me! I can still feel the pain to this day!
