  • Stephen Hawking is so smart that the rest of his body has shut itself down.

  • So why isn't the existence of the universe itself a fairy tale? We barely know it.

  • @stokepogue Because you can see it through a telescope. You can go outside and pick up a handful of it.

  • Religion seems a lot like government.

"It's sad too because, it, you know, all of the wars and all the people who have died..."

"All these rules, and you have to comply."

  • Hawking is right on the money. A person with his smarts knows better than to believe in fairytales for adults.

  • We may pase into another frequency after we leave this physical plane. Heaven? No way of knowing. A physical plane? No way of knowing. Our earthly conciousness? Again NOBODY knows.

  • @CustomJ Your molecular energy is absorbed by nearby matter. IE. you become a hospital bed sheet or pavement gravel. That is known. Your consciousness ceases to exist because your brain no longer supports its functionality much like your breathing or heart beat rhythms. Keep searching for a light in the dark. There is no dark.

  • @luvbeers Again, an absolutely credible argument. Proven? No. What's to say that after the physical form expires, our conciousness no longer requires a physical form, and phases into another realm? Or maybe you're right and we simply cease to be. All suposition. I don't know, you don't know. I doubt anyone knows. Get what you're saying though.

  • @luvbeers That's true, but if the ultimate fate of the universe isn't known, then it can't be said with certainity that there either is or isn't an afterlife.

  • What intresting to me, is no matter what science says there is always a debate on whether or not there is a God, u can't prove or disprove it. A quote from God in futurama " when you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all." As well I love how Atheists when old and near death find some sort of belife in a God, Like when the head of the atheistic scientists or whatever did when he turned 82. Bottom line I rather belive in a God than deny one cause i might be at his mercy

  • @Iblistheblackflame You don't have to disprove it. Since it doesn't exist there is no burden to. That's called infinite divisibility. There is not one shred of evidence to anything but Mother Earth as our creator. One can find spirituality in that. However Jesus never walked this earth as pigs never had wings and flew.

  • ummm Jesus is proven historically, as a real person for one. Second like I said i'll believe what i believe, as you will believe what u believe. Science dosen't have all the answers. Evoultuion is a joke and recently Dr. kaku basically proved einstiens theroy of relaivity was wrong. Plus science's explantions of how the universe began seem to parrell Greek mythology, and anchient hinduism, and to me thats kinda of intresting there.

  • @Iblistheblackflame There is no proof of Jesus. There was no contemporary account of his life. The gospels weren't even written until generations (perhaps even as late as 200 a.d.9 after his death which means they are hearsay, not to mention they are filled with fantasy and exaggeration which is consistent with fictional literature. You can believe what you want. Just keep in the back of your mind he probably didn't even exist and that the bible is fairy tale. Don't be brainwashed!

  • The oldest gospel was written around 20 to 30 years after his death, it was the gnostic gospels that were written 200 years after his death. As well two greek historians from anchient times wrote about him and he is listed in the roman execution records which we have today and yes there from that time. no one who knows history debates Jesus as a real person( iam not talking relgiouly either), so its obvious you have no real knowldge in the are.

  • @Iblistheblackflame I am sorry but fiction written over 1900 years ago by corrupt cult leaders is not proof of his existence. There is no other evidence physical or otherwise. In fact the amount of pre-existing deities that the story of Jesus was plagiarized from is more evidence to his fabrication.

  • @luvbeers My friend you mine as well argue there was no holocaust in Germany in world war 2. Jesus is proven historically from many sources other the bible all with no religious refrnce. You have no knowldge in anchient history. Don't speak on what you don't know it just shows your ignorance.

  • @Iblistheblackflame your a retard, you know that right. go fuck yourself

  • @TheHoneylocust Your intelligent lol, looks like I defended my postion so well i got somones goat lol ;) if insults is the best you can throw out its the sign of somones whose lost the battle before it began.

  • Hawkings is a douche and Stern is a dumabss Jew.

  • @80s90ssports Looks like jesus forgot you when he was passing out brains.

  • @luvbeers Durrr hurrrr Go die of liver failure you alcoholic fuck.

  • @80s90ssports Idiot racist

  • @80s90ssports And your a fucking genius.

  • Hawking speaks...or types the truth.

  • its sad to learn santa claus isnt real...but its a rite of passage..not a tragedy, but evolution.

  • It's not sad Howard, it's a spectacular view of life.

  • @S24995

Aww come on that's bullshit. I am a staunch atheist and I'll admit that death as the end is fucking depressing.

  • @mfentruck Hmmmm, I disagree. I suggest reading the last chapter of Dawkins' book "The Greatest Show on Earth" if you want. We should consider ourselves lucky we get to die because we were lucky we got to be born in the first place. An unimaginable number of people will never get to experience anything at all(laughing, sex, homemade cookies, movies), and they very well could have been overall better people than you and I.

  • @S24995

Yes I have heard Richard Dawkins say that several times and yes I think that life is precious and I appreciate it more now than when I believed in the afterlife. But I just can't see how death can not be depressing.

  • @mfentruck American culture considers it sad, but like in Mexico a funeral is more like a party.

  • @S24995

sort of like a celebration of the person's life? I guess there is no use in being sad but that's how I feel.

  • @mfentruck "But I just can't see how death can not be depressing."

Death isn't depressing for me at all - I'm curious about it. Claiming "I know god X is real." takes as much of a leap of faith as "I know there's nothing else when we die."

Remove the faith that you think you know something you don't, and you're left with curiosity.

  • This is great my father told me about this so here i am listening to it. Lol Stephen for the win
