You should be more specific of what has "gone to hell.", I was in Metairie this year and last year for Mardi Gras and it was great. I'll admit there are not as many truck floats, but overall I find the Metairie experience to be the same.

I miss Metairie,but after Katrina it went to"hell in a hand basket".
