According to official discographies it was recorded in 1957. I have never heard Jerry Field & the Lawyers, but I doubt that it´s the same song. The trial is only a whole lot of samplings from well known R´n´B and blues tunes.

If the flip was "The Trial" then that would put the date around 10/58.
And here we thought that Jerry Field & The Lawyers (on Parkway) was the only version!
