  • There Brothers lyrics of this version? Because I really like:) certainly not to speak English

  • what a song to listen to on christmas :) merry christmas all

  • Is this a Mormon Christmas song?

  • @k8mp1988 Not specifically, no. It's an old French carol.

  • @k8mp1988 It is an old French song

  • I love that when I typed in, "Bring a Torch Jeanette, Isabella" MoTab was the first thing to come. :)

  • So many more views since the Shaytards' video came out xD

  • We learned this in my French class at Queen's College, in Barbados, in the 80's. Lovely music and words in either language! Un flambeau, Jeanette, Isabelle...

  • It is just so beautiful version as the Mommytard's version too!

  • thumbs up if the reason you're here is related to Mommytard's new video on katilette!!!!!!

  • Shaytards!

  • Can't wait to play for winter concert

  • @LolatheBitch cool im in a winter concert to

  • Goose bumps!!

  • Scary how good they can be on the outside and yet be full of doctrines of devils

  • @TheChaseair Cool Story Bro.

  • Kosher Jews torture animals. Jared Lee Loughner brought a torch for them. How come the media never interview the ever-growing Jared Loughner Fan Club?

  • We did this for our school Christmas concert just only in french.

  • Angelic voices!!!!!! God be praised! Wonderful !

  • this is my favorite instrumental song. Our band is playing a mix that starts with this then changes to "Fum, fum, Fum".

  • Nothing sounds quite like several hundred Mormons and a big pipe organ or orchestra.

  • wow; absolutely amazing! incredible instrumentalists and dancers!

  • Beautiful.

  • We learned this in French - un flambeau, Jeanette, Isabella!!!

  • @Bajangrrl01 i did too! this song is my favorite of all the carols we sung ^_^

  • The way i learned this was a little slower. And some lyrics are different (from the one i learned.)

  • Thank you!

  • Those dancers need help coordinating with each other... It would have looked really nice if they were all in sync on the turns and stuff.

  • im doing the chistmas concert to this song!!!!

  • Diction maybe? Heard none. >.>

  • @finalrayne you're right!

  • Wewt we're gonna do this song in my school :D

  • our choir is singing this for school!!!!(:

  • so I hope my small ensemble can do this song justice. we start practicing next sunday and our concert is on dec. 4th!

  • awesome performance! Our community choir is singing this arrangement at our christmas concert! We are also using it as a processional

  • Beautiful!

  • I love Christmas music year 'round.

And this particular song, in all its forms (ref: Mannheim Steamroller) is a fantastic and wonderful part of the milieu.

This particular version is so lush and textured it has wings of its own to let the spirit fly!

  • I love this arrangement, written as a processional! Very joyful!

I heard a second arrangement, also by Mack Wilberg, written to be sung with solo voice, that is somewhat slower. It is also beautiful!

The dancers from the Univ of Utah Ballet school really add some life to it, too! Great!

People who were present when it was filmed tell me the power of the experience was palpable!

  • Very nice voices and instrumentals but a little faster than I'm accustomed to. Our choir performed this and I was wondering why I hear different lyrics in the line, "Ah, Ah how radiant is the mother, ah, ah how angelic the child". Like this performance, I've also heard the word beautiful replace both radiant and angelic in other versions too.

  • there's more then one versions of the song.

  • we're singing this is choir, but it sounds horrible compared to this.

  • This song is absolutely gorgeous!! I wish we could sing this in my choir. However, there is one song we are singing right now that is absolutely beautiful - O Bambino.

  • Someone thought,OH Mary probably needed help delivering Jesus! Thus the song!!

  • we have to sing this osng in choir at my school and i just love it

  • Ma chanson (religieuse) preférée. Mendiants d'espérance est en deuxième; mais pas par beacoup.

À vrai dire, cette chanson est meilleure en français. De plus, c'était trop vite pour mon goût.

To tell the truth, this song is better in french and was too fast for my taste...

  • @Mormonbookworm, it is a bassoon

  • That was great!!!

  • Amazing!

looks like a million dollar concert

  • @Skelexy15 the MoTab always presents one of the best Christmas concerts of the year. I never miss it on PBS. This is an outstanding version of one of my favorite Christmas carols. Thanks for posting

  • I was there and it was simply amazing live - there was so much going on all around the conference center you simply didn't know where to look!

  • Hi all - Love this cd!!! Nothing makes me feel more like Christmas than MoTab!

Ps- Was at Byu with Mack - he deserves to be where he's at.

  • everyone give RCRamone1971 thumbs down just to piss him off

  • Yes at 0:05 bassoons are underrated instruments and need to be more well recognized!

  • Is that what that instrument at the beginning is?

    Cool, I love that part.

  • Wow. I like this performance.

  • bravi....

  • only these guys can take something that's usually boring such as a Christmas choral concert, and cool it up. rock on Motab!

  • no its not them, its mack wilberg who is a musician extraordinarie.

  • Too true, symplemplam. Mack Wilberg writes incredible music. I can't believe that I'm in a choir that gets to do his version of Come Thou Fount.
