  • another GREAT song ,,I love the lyrics and it goes so well together with the melody,,great Raymond

  • @ozzyhott Thanks for your comment. It's a pity such songs have to be sung!

  • you're a very good artist, that doen't loose touch with the 'commoners' of the public...

  • Thanks for visiting my channel.

  • good lyrics, good song raymond

  • Thank you.

  • this is great.

  • Thanks for subscribing. You must be number 2001!

  • BTW, I've added your very own playlist to my channel, you're so prolific that you belong in your own category, not just lumped in with all my other folk favorites.

Your efforts to document and preserve so much folk music is a real feat and labor of love.

  • Thanks. You certainly have an impressive list of playlists.

  • Thanks for forwarding this to me Raymond, as you state, barely 100 views in these many months is a shame, because this addresses the issue of domestic violence in a hauntingly beautiful way. I've been there as to the violence, I appreciate very much becoming aware of this! 5*.

  • Thanks for checking it out. I don't often use the share facility as it doesn't get to all my friends, but maybe I'll do more of it for some of the songs that don't seem to get noticed.

  • Excellent song, Raymond. Very dark indeed - great performance too ***** All the best :o) Alan

  • Thanks for listening to this song, Alan. One of my more serious ones.

  • Great song! You are a masculine version of Malvina Reynolds. Do you know who she was?

  • Yes, she was a great song-writer. I have covered nine of her songs, which you can find on this playlist:

She was indeed the inspiration for some of my works. A good example is my song, "Who Needs Reality?"

  • Hi Raymond, great song, great Lyrics. 5 stars

    Chris

  • Thanks, Chris. Not one of my happier songs!

  • Hello

    Raymond...

In a sense, this corruption concern, while an obvious and uncerstandable irritant to you personally,is my opportunity to visit offerings that I might have missed previously...such as this one.

Here,in your hauntingly-rendered original composition in the folk song story-telling tradition, you have utilised all of the aspect s of this great tradition and have rolled them up into one, most impressive work!

    Peace,

    Stewball

  • Thanks, Max. I hope it won't be ongoing, once I've reposted all the affected videos. With luck the problem will not extend to videos pre February, 2008, or post May, 2008. I don't have backups of my very early videos anyway, so if they go they are gone for good!
