TO MY FELLOW MEN... NEVER IN YOUR LIFE TRUST A WOMEN ON BIRTH CONTROL.. THEY HAVE NOTHING TO LOOSE AND EVERYTHING TO GAIN IN THE U.S. BY GIVING BIRTH AND TRAPPING U ... AND NO, BEING A MOTHER ISNT WHAT THEY CONSIDER "GAINING" NOT ANYMORE ATLEAST.. ITS YOUR MONEY WHAT THEY GAIN/WANT.
IF THE PILL COMES OUT, TAKE IT AND DONT SAY A WORD AND WHEN SHE SAYS IT YOUR KID YOU SAY; FUCK YOU BITCH IM ON THE PILL UNLIKE YOUR LYING CHEATING ASS....
To be fair, most of these answers are common misconceptions that men and women believe. But the fact that these are grown men and a few of them have NO clue is a little sad.
Curious none of the men interviewed, who seemed to understand & wince about all the 'chemicals' a woman must use to prevent pregnancy, didn't think about the fact they don't concern themselves enough about it to learn about it because they don't have to use the 'chemicals' themselves! They happily leave it all up to women to consider the risk factors of prevention. Wonder how things might change- or if women would be just as ignorant- should men have a birth control pill available to them.
I don't know if calling these men idiots or stupid is really fair... They knew way more than I thought they would, and understood the general gist of things.
Not to mention the fact that not obtaining knowledge that society never places you responsible for knowing or never markets towards isn't exactly stupidity.
This video is by "The sexist" but serious go out and ask women the same questions. There are shit tons of stupid people out there... it isn't just men. Also it is very easy just to cherry pick stupid people to prove your points...
I'm sorry but the women would not have given answers like that. You know why? Because the Dr. or nurse explains the drugs and what they do to the woman before they administer it to her. Also, it is on the drug facts at the pharmacy when you fill your prescription. It is very hard for a woman not to know about the drugs if they are taking them. The only reason not to know is if they want to remain ignorant on purpose.
Daily BCP uses hormones to fool the body into thinking it's already pregnant, so it won't ovulate, so there's no egg for sperm to fertilize.
Morning After Pill is a high dose of BCP hormones; it thickens cervical mucus, gumming up sperm and preventing it from reaching the egg. In VERY rare cases it might prevent an egg from embedding; but something like 1/3 to 1/2 of all fertilized eggs fail to embed anyhow.
Mifepristone is an actual abortifacient -- it induces miscarriage.
@rmharman Another misconception! The pill does NOT "trick" the body into thinking it is pregnant. Ask any pharmacist. It simply shuts the ovaries down, allowing it to not ovulate.
@WasteofGlitter - WHY do you think the ovaries shut down? The hormones included in the BCP are designed to alter the balance of hormones in a woman's bloodstream to look more similar to what would be there if she were pregnant. The fact that already-pregnant women don't ovulate is a large part of what led scientists (like Greg Pincus, who led the team that developed the first effective BCP) to think a hormonal method would work.
@WasteofGlitter - Oh, and pharmacists do not need to know the mechanism of the drugs they prescribed, they only need to know about adverse interactions. Try asking an endocrinologist. (Like my dad, who actually was involved in developing a hormonal birth control method.)
On the other hand, I wonder how much most women would know. If you asked me, I couldn't really tell you any better how even my own birth control works.
Well maybe it is just a personal thing, but when I spend 5 minutes listening to people say things that are completely wrong, I like to hear something actually correct.
Otherwise you are just repeating wrong things. And repeating wrong things is not actually they way to get people to think the right thing. (Research shows even Myth vs. Fact formulas make it harder for people to remember the fact because they repeat the myth.)
I agree with cessena. I think it would be far more constructive to post accurate information rather than just highlighting how uneducated men are about sex and responsibility.
I hereby swear that my son will be better informed that these idiots. Who are now grown and ought to inform themselves, assuming they're having sex with women.

Leave the bitches to their own shit, it's not a man's responsability to keep a cunt from whoring out her vagina. I mean c'mon a cunt is a cunt just let em figure out their own anatomy.
No, you shut up! This video is hilarious. It just goes to show how little men actually know about sex. Sexist, ignore this douchebag and keep the videos coming!

Only whores take the pill. Why do men need to know about a whore's business? Seriously leave those mutilated vaginas to their own devices.
On a closing note I wanna say most whore's vaginas smell like fish. Disgusting.

As hilarious as this video is, perhaps some links or explanations of how birth control actually works would be more constructive.
(Besides y'know, going up in your lady bizness.)
