Rick was born in May 1940. If this as I suspect 1964 or 65 he would be 24-25. No way was 007 popular enough until after JFK was found reading Ian Fleming in the White House. This looks like LA local independent television where these shows are still running today. TV Land and others have run shows and added vintage commercials as well when they were in their early years.....The person we need here in "fromthesidelines" maybe he/she will see this and comment. <-best I've seen to answer 4 sure
Yes,it certainly gives you a warm feeling to see these shows again!
I also love Andy Griffin Show. I purchased the last series but can't recall the part where Andy married his fiance. Does anyone know what series it showed them getting married?
@jsilence418 It's not impossible that this was an original commercial. After all, before the Bond movies were the Bond books by Ian Fleming. They started in the early 50's and were wildly popular.
@CassieLopez I guarantee not enough Americans were that hip to James Bond that he would be used in a commercial in the 1950's ! plus this style and color say 1960's!
@jsilence418 Well I thought it might be possible, but you seem to know more about it than I do. I was only a kid when this show was on, and I didn't know anything about James Bond then. You're probably right.
@jsilence418 Well golly gee willikers, M. Silence, I didn't mean that! I only meant that you seemed to have some special knowledge whereas I was only relying on my memory. And, just ask my kids, that isn't as reliable as it once was. :-)
at the time Ozzie achieved "EAGLE SCOUT" he was the youngest American boy to get the rank of Eagle Scout---- that year he also earned a part of a large group of Scouts to tour Europe ....
great memories! ...just one observation: this must have been a rerun in the early 60´s of an ea rly 50´s episode. The 007 and the jaguar XKE came out in the 60´s when the Nelson boys were over 20.
Yes it is! I love it when the commercials are left in although I can never say for sure that the commercials are the originals. You're welcome and thanks for commenting.

@jsilence418 I think so. The original commercials must have been replaced. -Michael

I have learned of David Nelson's death. Like his father, he was taken by cancer. Now he joins his brother Rick and parents in TV Paradise.

If I thought about Ozzie's job at all, I figured he was the producer of the show that I was watching.

LOL. I'm sure Ozzie would disapprove :)
On my old channel someone made a funny comment. Called Ozzie "a chicken coop Casanova!"
I like Ozzie :) Don't know what he does for a living though.
