I've seen this show live probably 25 times and on YouTube, well, too many times to admit. Still gives me chills, goosebumps, and tears. There's something about the music that is not of this earth. It's like Disney has a handshake agreement with God to just freak people out with happiness and joy. Even after 10 years... simply stunning.

I have watched this show so many times since 1999 that I have lost count, and it will be a sad day indeed if they ever change it. You know you've seen it too many times when you're offsite and know exactly where the music is by watching the fireworks - and can sing along to the end.

this is the first time that i have actually SEEN the show....i knew about it before they even mentioned it to the public because my stepdad and a few other ppl that were friends of the family worked for the company that built the electronic panels for the video...my stepdad spending about a month and a half at epcot working on that globe and after it was built and the bugs were fixed, disney sent everybody that worked on the project a mural poster and a commemorative coin to say thanks...

@kiapolo2002 When they brought fantasmic to hollywood studios cause my mom was working back then and till now so they had a cast member preview show and i got to see it before they opened it officially. It was awesome

Absolutely the best pyrotechnics show I have ever seen. Music, effects, everything is amazing.

I've yet to meet someone who watched it for the first time who didn't end up with their jaw hanging open at the end.

@tfan68 Very true. When my family and I went about ten years ago--they did this exact show---we stayed at Disney for a week. We went to Epcot every night to watch the show. Never got old, and ten years later, still amazing to watch!

It's part of the song called Reflections of Earth, it's a 9+ minute song.

That part is still the instrumental fireworks song, and then there's Kellie Coffey's finale songs "We Go On" and "Promise."

This is the best shot video I've seen so far of this show. A little odd that they've changed the fireworks arrangement slightly. They left out the shell blast from the lake perimeter at 0:40 and 3:56, and tweaked things at a few other points too. Was it because they were doing a different version for the off-season?

I don't know what the show is like today, I haven't been since June 2002. My family used to love the way IllumiNations was between 1988 and about 1995 when they used to light up each pavilion and play some music by a composer from that country. I don't know whether that version of the show has ever been re-introduced.
