i have one of his books but i dont understand how to play the songs cause of the ties and other complications... does anyone else have these problems? If you find them easy, please tell me the "trick" to learning his pieces

figure out the chord with your left hand and then play those cards one note at a time. playing his songs this way will let you focus on the right hand melody.

Heard this song years ago......did not know who sang it....could not remember the tune......just stumbled on it n OMG ......its so refreshing....

I want to post a comment about the person who said Jim Brickman's music was "Elevator Music" and other nasty remarks I won't hear of and ignore in this person's comment at this website. I takes beautiful soothing to the ear musich to be considered "Elevator Music" and Jim Brichmans Music is wonderful elevator music to come people's nerves in their hectic lives!!! So he's blessed to have this "so-called" elevator music played on elevators!! Yeh Jim!!! Good for you!!!

I was just at his concert last Sept 30 and was able to shake hands and talk with him for a good 10 minutes. I told him how much an influence he is on my piano playing and he was very interested to hear what I had to say. Very down to earth and truly accomodating. He told me he used to work for Sesame street at 18 years old and said he never dreamed to make it big in the music business back then. Very nice guy!
