  • thanks so much. your review really helped me to decide what to buy as I never used la mer before :-)

  • I adore La Mer but I don't have oily skin like this reviewer.

  • try dr perricone hp eye lift and vit c esther serum

  • I have tried Re9 & it was good but the smell bothered me. I love the fc5 Arbonne line ESP the eye cream, it feels like a tingly/cool treat. Probably won't try the la mer! Yuck! Great review though.

  • did you try "37 extra actives"?

  • La Mer uses mineral oil? That's so cheap!!! Definitely not purchasing La Mer products - thanks for letting us know hun! <3

  • there is nothing wrong with mineral oil at all, its just not good for acne. if u have no acne or breakouts, its absolutely fine.

  • i am in love with La Mer products! u just have to go and ask and they will give u the right products for ur skin!

  • I like people to be honest with expensive products

  • What other serums would you suggest?

  • @lms031 arbonne RE9, Estee Lauder Pore Refiner, Patricia Wexler MMpi

  • i love LaMer^^

  • HI PLEASE HELP ME OUT!

I've bought the 2 0z. creme, it was presented as X'mas set in 2009 at their store in Hong Kong. Now is 2011, and I haven't use up even 1/5 of it! As I always keep it in a refrigerator, I've forgot to use it. So it's gonna be expired in the coming X'mas and I don't think I can use it up before the expire, as Hong Kong is so humid and hot in Spring and Summer.

So PLEASE HELP or give me some ideas what can I do with it, as throw it away will be such a waste! Thanks =)

  • @sigourney523 I dont know enough about their products- sorry!

  • Have u tried Obagi products?

  • @toostripyou yes i Have

  • Lisa are you still using the eye cream.. is it worth the $ 165.00 bucks ??

  • Also just to let you know LA MER has other types of face cream other then what you used. LAMER also offers a Oil absorbing lotion, Moisturizing lotion, And the creame in a gel form that is alot lighter. Hopefully when you buy the eye concentrate you will get to try the a sample of one that matches your needs. P.S not all LAMER has mineral oil.

  • Can you please do a review on the clinique ance solutions concealer? not the green one, one of the colored ones.

  • @adeleidoodle I dont have acne and unfortunetly I only use concealer under my eyes- SO I probably wont pick this up! :o( Sorry!

  • LaMer is mostly water and MINERAL OIL which is horrible for your skin. LaMer is shit.

  • @shoegal831 I use to think the same way...i don't know i tried the small sample lasted a long time and it really worked on my skin. I was using coca butter, which did fine. but the la mer was awsome. I was trying to find out what the ingredients were and can't find the list any where.

  • You might like the Gel De La Mer or Oil Absorbing Lotion. I have oily skin and I use Creme de la mer but it didn't break me out.

    Take Care

  • Great review Lisa! My favorite La Mer item is also the eye concentrate. I only use the moisturizing cream during the winter and it is really nice for my skin. Other favorite of mine that i cannot live without is the lip balm. :-)

  • actually i asked my dermatologist about all the LaMer products, he said LaMer products are OVER priced and didnt do the work so well. he said you can even make your own one by getting ingredients from some chemistry store in 1/10 of the price.

  • I have tried the moisturizing creme too. But if u have oily skin, like me, go for the moisturizing gel creme. Same miracle broth in there but much lighter. It works amazing and it help recovering the acne scars soo much. It has the healing power which the scientist originally used it for.

  • Mineral oil is not good for the skin! Here's a definition of mineral oil found on ikigai.com: Mineral Oil- A petroleum by-product that coats the skin like plastic, clogging the pores. Interferes with the skin's ability to eliminate toxins, promoting acne and other disorders. Slows down skin function and cell development, resulting in premature aging. Baby oil is 100 per cent mineral oil. Liquid paraffin, paraffin oil, paraffin wax and petrolatum are all mineral oils.

  • i love that la mer eye concentrate! i felt it really did do something for my eye.. there's one wrinkle on my right from overuse when doing photography and that la mer eye concentrate def helped lessen it. great review girl =D

  • i can't believe such an expensive product has mineral oil in it. even for my dry skin, mineral oil is awful cuz it NEVER absorbs. it feels like you have a layer of grease on your skin ALL DAY LONG. i was just wondering if you have ever tried SkinActives products? my guy biochem friend introduced this site to me cuz they use the same active ingredients of expensive brands but for far less.

  • Can you please do a video on serums????

  • @thatsitable1 I will add it to my list!

  • yay for this review...thanks...its helpful :D

  • I think Wayne Goss has pretty much said the La Mer cream is glorified vaselin...and anyway, it is kind of weird to review samples (for them to send you samples to review)..things work/ or not over a period of time, samples are not enough to work miracles.

  • Thanks for the review of these products! I have heard great things about them, but I didn't want to spend the money if there were cheaper alternatives. The eye cream sounds great, but I have sensitivities, so I'd probably have to pass for now. Thanks again and take care!

  • Hey lisa i just found out that you could apply an eye cream on the back of your hand because the back of your hand is as thin as the skin around the eye area!

  • Thank you for the video fellow Youtuber! I have to say that I was underwhelmed by the La Mer Skin cream. It was over-priced and I don't buy the "patting and rolling" routine, (most people pat on their cream and then lightly blend it onto the face.) I may try the eye cream. I'm still in search of the best moisturizer for dry skin, I've tried so many!

  • @GiselTY I just bought it

  • can you review the boots no. 7 intelligent balance mousse foundation they sell it at target

  • @serinarenae37 I dont own it but if I pick it up I will

  • thanks for the review, I was about to leave my Estee Lauder cremes and move to LaMer, and I have a mix skin :)

  • What serum do you use daily? Other than Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, if you still use it?

  • @ashxusn Patricia wexler or the Celnique!

  • Ah you just wasted some of the expensive stuff! haha

  • I just looked up that eye cream. It's 0.5 oz and cost $165!!! Have you tried Shiseido eye cream? If you have, what's the difference?

  • @ji94552 I have not tried the Sheseido!

  • Thanks for doing this review Lisa! Curious....how does the LaMer eye concentrate compare to the olive and rye eye cream from Korres? I'm needing to buy some soon and that is one I was considering. I know it has been one of your favs. Thanks!

  • @g700a I like the korres better!

  • What face serum of the ones that you have tried, do you consider the best?

  • @eireenu24 Patricia Wexler

  • Before I watch this, I wouldn't buy it strictly because of the price.

  • saks at tysons corner sell it

  • If you can find a Saks Fifth Avenue near you, you will find a La Mer counter.

  • I never say anything but I wanted you to know how much I appreciate your reviews !!

  • @1290145 lol seriously!!! that is ridiculous..I have seen products that cost $1 with the second ingredient being mineral oil..barf!

  • it has mineral oil in it and its an expensive brand? how ridiculous..mineral oil is cheap and horrid for skin.

  • Lisa, the La Mer products are available online @ lamer.com

  • The La Mer lip balm and hand cream are to die!! Not to get you addicted to La Mer ;) but they are so worth it and last forever.

  • If you are looking for La Mer, try Saks if you have one near you... they usually have a LaMer counter and often times offer beauty bonuses with your purchase of LaMer

  • What's a great serum you'd recommend that isn't too expensive? Need a new face one!

  • @JennyJen813 patrica Wexler! :o)

  • great review thanx

  • What! Stuff that expensive and "high end" has a filler like mineral oil in it?

  • @coramonster so many high end things do...isnt that crazy! mineral oil, petroleum all that is such an inexpensive filler, and that is what so many high end creams/concealers have in them, and they charge an arm and leg!

  • Gossmakeupartist spoke about these products recently in a video! He days the main ingrediens is water!

  • nordstrom has a la mer counter :)

  • That eye cream is $165.00!

  • @PashaAnn8888 yea the eye cream is massively expensive....however you saw how little of the product you have to use in the video...a full size jar will easily last you a whole year...meaning it costs less than $14 a month... that's really not that much especially if it works well for a person!

  • I have normal skin and the LaMer moisturizer made me break out TERRIBLY! I also tried the face cleanser and although the smell wasn't terrible, I think all the fragrance irritated my skin as well. Thanks for the review so hopefully people won't spend the over 100 dollars to buy it!

  • Hi Lisa, I have never tried any of the LaMer products, so don't know anything about them. Thanks so much for your review. it was very helpful. xoxo :) Carla

  • thanks for a very helpful video!! true.. we really hear raves about lamer.. never worked for me :(( I may have to give the eye cream a try.. i tried their foundation too, after 30 minutes my face was oil slick yuck

  • awsome

  • can you do a review on aveeno positively radiant moisturizer and tell us what your favorite moisturizers are ? PLEASE AND THANKS (:

  • @renaliciousdelicious I dont own this but if I pick it up I will!

  • does the eye concentrate help with dark circles?

  • @UrbanSmuxx no not really

  • Good timing Lisa!

I'm falling in love with the line atm & I'm about to place a huge order.

I have dry/sensitive skin & it works amazingly.

So sorry...The creme was not for you.

Check La Mer Gel Cream maybe & their Cleansing Foam is amazing! :-)

    TNX

  • quick question: i have heard that LM changed one of the ingredients in her pan eye liner and now it doesn't last as long on the eyes/the product is also used up much faster. have you heard this? if so, have you bought a LM pan liner in the last few months and found this to be true.

  • @hushpup81 hmmm I am not sure- my new one has been wearing off faster though- weird! :o(

  • shishiedo also makes a really nice eye cream! :)

  • as always, love your videos!

  • I love La mer. You should try the face concentrate. I have and love the eye concentrate. I agree it is great. The face concentrate is used after PS, even breast implants. It helps to remove scars.

  • i bought for my mother the moisturizing cream, the eye concentrate and the serum...all worked great, but the eye cream irritated her eyes so much! the doctor said that possibly this cream caused her eye infection

  • Some oils are good for your skin like jojoba oil or coconut oil. Mineral oil is bad for your skin. It clogs pores, interferes with your skin’s natural ability to eliminate toxins, and can lead to acne flare ups. Also it is irritating to the skin and if used for any length of time your skin can become dependent on it, causing chapping and dryness. Lastly, it can lead to premature aging of the skin. It’s amazing this substance is even allowed in so-called “skin care” products at all.

  • I get the LaMer eye cream and serum from Neimen Marcus, Nordstrom, and SAKS, they carried varies products and they are willing to provide samples as well if you like to try for a week or so.

  • u didnt give the prices! hahaha

  • @ladida94611 I dont know the prices since they were samples- sorry!

  • Thank you lisa for the review. you told that you are wearing MUD glow blush

can you do a review on MUD in things that you like .you look so pretty and glowy.

  • @reinaalano I do have a review on their products posted! :o)

  • do you have a nordstrom near you? that is where i get all of my la mer products!

  • @Anilovesmakeup yes bthey dont have a counter though! :o(

  • Instead of the cream moisturizer you should try the gel-cream version. Much lighter and suitable for combination-oily skin type gals like us. I have been using it for the past four months and this has become my HG day time moisturizer. Amazingly, it has help to control the oils. I will definitely be repurchasing it.

  • thank you for your review. I looked on line for samples of these products with no luck. By chance do you know where to get samples. thank you

  • I use and adore the eye concentrate! A jar will last a year, as you know a little goes a long way with these. Just order online from la mer, get a few samples to try. I got mine at Nordies, and got a few samples. My skin is combo and will get a bit dryer in the winter. I too tried the moisturizing cream, which during the warmer months was way to heavy and eventually gave to my mom who just loves the stuff! My other fav is the body creme, must get sample. And you might enjoy the cleansing gel.

  • I also don't like the La Mer Moisturizing Cream. It clogs the pores on my t-zone and didn't moisturize my cheeks well enough.

  • Have you heard or seen anything about the MAC Venomous Villains Collection and MAC Fabulous Felines Collection? Is there anything you're interested in getting from those collections?

  • @HeyGatsbyTV I have not been following MAC Collections! :o(

  • Hey girl!! I just followed you on twitter!! I love your review video's!! I love the Lancome eye cream, its great!!

  • Hi Lisa! Great review as always! Have you ever tried Philosophy's Hope in a jar? If so, what are your thoughts on the product?

  • @dbraga21 I did try it and it broke me out! :o(

  • If you haven't already, please do a video on first trip to mac, what to buy? thanks ( :

  • @lovingyou55398 I have a mac starter kit video! :o)

  • Try bloomingdales for a counter if you have one near you

  • can u do a giveaway for la mer cream that didnt work for ya

  • @commuty sorry I gave it to my mom- plus you cant sanatize it!

  • I've heard great things about these products like you have but the price tag is what has kept me away from purchasing. I am however looking for a good eye cream, more like an eye serum actually. I tend to break out in milia under my eyes from using heavier eye creams. I currently use Dr. Weil's mushroom eye serum which is ok, it's not making my eyes worse but not really improving either. Is the la Mer eye cream more serum like or cream like? Thanks for doing this review :)

  • @SamovilaGoddess it is more like a thick cream/gel

  • omg i love you so much , can you do a review on ELF cosmetics please ?:)

    xoxoxoxo

  • @nikbabe13 I dont really own many ELF cosmetics anymore a few glosses and 1 blush stick! Sorry! :o(

  • Thanks so much for reviewing these products! I've been pondering spending my money on the much-hyped about moisturizer.
