One of the most interesting dynamics I've seen in Butch-Femme interactions is how either defines or tries to label/pigeon hole another woman. There's no question that if a political conversation occurs, Most women agree that how a woman self-identifies is key. However, I've been at the edge of MANY conversations during which a woman's butch/femme identity is questioned...if I identify as butch, is 'she' in my dating pool? Likewise, if I identify as femme, is 'she' in my dating pool? Great topic!
Great video. I am a soft butch, who has mainly been in butch on butch relationships. Recently began dating a femme, so was looking to learn more about the butch/femme dynamic, so thanks for you insightful, intelligent video.
I haven't found "my community" yet. Well, my lesbian community. I've always really fit in with gay men but not so much with lesbians. I also have never felt like identifying as a femme, butch or queer. Really I'm all of these labels. I think I'll start identifying as nerd-gay-switch. lol Yep, that's me. :)
There is nothing more beautiful than Butch/Femme dynamics...I like my woman to take charge and be rugged...and of course being a femme I play my role to the fullest...its just sexy....what else can I say....;-)....femme4life4u

im gay/genderqueer and im weard i dont go with butch or fim i wear the makup and have short hair but wear clip in exstions and i wear the guy clothes we need a name between butch and fim lol but i dont like labels im different everyday great video i sub and allsome hair!

I've noticed that butch/femme couples are usually from the lower economic class. I guess that's why in Los Angeles, it's full of feminine lesbians dating other feminine lesbians because they are all wealthy. I find butches quite hideous personally and I find butch/femme relationships ridiculous.

No, actually I am concerned about Lesbian Domestic Violence. You want to rewrite history but all you're doing is repeating it in your own way. I've seen too many battered butches in Santa Fe. Can't say I've ever hit a woman.......Can you say that?

I don't identify as butch or femme, but i'm pretty genderqueer and therefore have a hard-time fitting into society's expectations as to how I should comport myself as "a lady"... pair that with dating women... and you have a pretty crazy dynamic... that was long. peace, ang!
