  • i have no animals

  • You represent middle east perfect keep going maha

  • I am a cafolic but i do respect thier religion. My only question is what is the difference between God and allah? I know both of are religions are monolithic but I dont get it. I love my religion and im not going to change. I just dont get why you guys belive in allah and I belive in God. I kinda want to know what is the story behind it! Please answer :)

  • @BeautyisLove98

The word "Allah" is the perfect description of the "One God" monotheism

  • @BeautyisLove98 There is no difference we muslims just call god Allah because that's what God is translated to in Arabic God=Allah , Allah=God. Our religions are extremely close we believe in all the same prophets may god bless them all. Did you know Jesus is mentioned by name even more then Prophet Muhammad PBUH . May God bless all people who believe in him no matter if your muslim christian or jewish :D

  • Hello Maha..

Just to be correct Biblically..Abraham went up the Mt. to sacrifice ISAAC..not Ishmael..Ishmael was a son born to Abraham by way of Hagar the Egyptian..not to Sarah.. See Genesis 17:19,21 in the Old Testament or in the New Testament..see Galatians 4:28.

  • @EWETUBER2 Muslims dont believe in Old or New Testament. . In Quran . its Ishmael not Isaac.

  • @kingofheartsxyz In Quran it's not specified whether it was Ishmael or Isaac. some muslims just ASSUME it's Ishamel.

  • is she Arab or Indian

Us two look so similar it is hard to decide sometimes...

  • @Skinnyoompalumpa She's Palestinian

  • Great job Maha! MashaAllah!

  • im muslim .. and i respect you for this :)

  • what an amazing person this lady is !!

  • Your all Islamic info is wrong.. sorry to hear that, but keep it up

  • @sanangelproductions

It 's controversial issue. According to Talmud and jew's books that stated that boy sbould be sacrificed is your unique son.

I think Ismael is older than Isaac peace be upon them by 13 years.

  • It's humbling how much she appreciates the holiday and how, back home, she used to feel one with the muslims... this is amazing. we need more of this! with the Jews too! Inshallah!

  • how come you maha didn't convert ?? this really sounds great and peaceful

  • "ibrahim" did not try to sacrafice ishmael. The Lord commanded him to sacrafice Issac...............

  • @sanangelproductions Yes but that's according 2 the bible and torah, in the Quran it says that Abraham was forced 2 sacrifice a son, it didn't say which son, most muslim scholars said it was Ishmael, but their a few that says Isaac, but what really matters is the moral of the story.

  • recently converted to islam from christianity so I am trying to now learn arabic

  • Great videos!!! Thanks much

  • thank you very much maha for taking the time to teach people like me :)

  • مها حلو كمان لو تحكي عن الديانه المسحيحيه انا مسلمه واحب اتعرف على ديانات اخرى

  • Very interesting.

    Thanks for the explanation!

  • السلام عليكم

    جميل ماتقدمينه يا أختي مها

  • actually you are Muslims that this is your grate work and excellent

  • They cut it into 3 pieces while it's alive or after they've killed it?

  • @KatrinaDi After they kill it of course!!!

  • Wow maha you know soo much good on you :D I am Muslim and what u said is exactly what we do during Ei'd but never heard of the 3 pieces but it's interesting I should ask my parents. Keep up the good work.

  • The Jews also consider Abraham to be the first Human Being to acknowledge one great supreme power that runs the whole of the world and universe. G-d only chose to speak with Abraham only after he realized on his own that there seems to be a great entity that runs things, and not statues of stone or wood or the sun or the moon. Islam has its version of all this stuff.. seems awfully plagiarized. Islam has many stories that run parallel to Jewish ones. Jews have been around waaaayy longer though..

  • @moezephead Study all three religions before saying ignorant things about what you do not know :)

In Christianity it is said that the teachings is continuations from Judaism, and in Islam it is said that the teachings is a continuation from Judaism and Christianity.

No one plagiarized anyone here. Simply demonstrates that everything came from ONE SOURCE.

  • @moezephead There's a reason why they're grouped as "Abrahamic" faiths. As to the boast that Jews or Judaism have/has been around "waaaaayy longer"; a Muslim might rejoin that Islam is the only faith that recognises /all/ of the prophets.

Me, I don't subscribe to any particular code of belief, but that people should be free, largely to worship as they choose. That, and accusing another faith of "plagiarism" is a very shitty (not to mention ignorant) thing to do.

  • @moezephead

You should know that the verses of Abraham story of sun and moon revealed to Muhammad while he was in Makka-mecca-, while Jewish were in Madina, there was no connection between Muhammad-pbuh- and jewish of Madinah is those days.

So it is impossible plagiarize idea. which means these stories come from the same source.

  • Ishmael was not cast out without a blessing from G-d though b/c Abraham himself loved Hagar and Ishamel but G-d wanted the chosen people, the Jews, to come from Sarah's offspring, Isaac and then, and especially, through Jacob. According to the Jewish Biblical History G-d favored Sarah b/c she was more modest and righteous than Hagar, and merited G-d's greater favor. Thus, the Arab peoples were born and Islam wouldn't come into the picture for 2,000 years lol.

  • @ZimimeXoXo: I think that by saying 'elders', she tried to say 'mature people'. I think she meant that children are not obliged to do the pelgrimage :)

  • You are a great teacher Maha. I am very grateful.

I feel very much respect for animals. Dislike Sacrifice festivities.

    Maasalama! Barakaallehubik!

  • @ecofinca

But it is going for a good cause. Think of how happy the ones who do not have food in abundance are. It makes a difference. Also Ibrahim did not sacrifice his son Ismael. It was a test from Allah azawajal. Allah then sent an animal and told Ibrahim to sacrifice the animal instead.

    THANKS MAHA for the VIDEO!!!!!!!!!

  • Salam Maha. Macha allah alik. Please keep giving a good image about Arabic and Muslim women. Thank you

  • عيد اضحى مبارك

    good luck sis !

  • Just a short note, its only muslims that believe it was Ishmael that was to be sacrificed by Abraham. Jews and Christians believe that it was Isaac that was to be sacrificed by Abraham. Ishmael was the illegitimate son of Abraham with his egyptian servant Hagar, whilst Isaac was Abrahams legitimate son with his wife Sarah. Great video Maha, God bless.

  • @shamvara Just a short note. Prophet Abraham (peace and blessings be upon him) didn't have illegtimate relationships as none of the prophets did. We Muslims hold prophets in the highest regards with the highest morals of any ppl that have lived on this earth. Sarah (May God be pleased with her) was unable to bear a child and gave permission to Prophet Ibrahim/Abraham (peace be upon him) to MARRY Hagar (Hajar) (May God be pleased with her). During that time, Ishmael (peace be upon him)...

  • @shamvara ...was born. He was older than Issac (peac be upon him). They are considered to be respected prophets in Islam who made great sacrfices and courage to spread the message of the existance of One God. Peace.

  • @shamvara do u jews consider Abraham as a prophet ?

  • العرب عرق واحد

    ولا يفرقهم دين

    المسيحيين والمسلمين العرب

    اخوه

  • nice to see that different religions do carry the same metaphores - very nice lesson as usual- great promotion for the palistinian people -

  • thanx for the info:)

  • lol! I cannot believe that Islam replaces Issac with Ishmael as Abraham's son that was to be sacrificed! No wonder, because Ishamel is the root of original people of Islam! Unbelievable.

  • السلام عليكم

this will be my first E'id al-Adha

  • Hi Maha, what do you believe in?

  • There are many young people and children who go to do Hajj but I think you should be strong no matter what age because the crushing of the crowds can sometimes be dangerous.

  • bellissimo video

  • عيد مبارك

  • Hey al-mudarissa! ;)

Thanks for explaining us Eid al-Adha. I have two questions regarding this topic: what is the difference in writing E'd, E'ed and I'd and secondly, I didn't quite understand what the term "Halal" meant?

    Shukran jazeelan in advance! :)

    Maja

  • @lemonivia hey, i know you wanted maha to reply but i thought i'd help out :) the word 'halal' means permissible. so when talking about meat, it means meat that has been slaughtered in the correct islamic way which makes it 'halal' (permissible) to eat. hope that helps :)

  • @Fahadhaq2006 thank you! :)

  • Halal means permissible or allowed. It can be used to describe, food, actions or way of slaughtering an animal. Halal foods are good clean foods, excluding, pig or pig products, alcohol, dead animals and blood. Halal actions can be doing something good, i.e. helping, sharing, speak truth-anything that is good. Halal way of slaughtering is to first make sure the knif used for slaughtering is sharp, secondly to say the name of God when slaughtering, and lastly to cut the jugular veins...

  • @lemonivia .....and carotid arteries so the animal doesn't feel any pain (proven scientifically that halal methods are not painful since the brain and body connection is severed as compared to rendering the animal unconscious via electrocution and then slaughtering it). After the animal is dead, the blood is drained. The meat is now halal.

  • @lemonivia The difference in writing is merely due to translation to Latin alfabet, the pronounciation is the same though. Halal means lawful, allowed or permissble. Maha mentioned it when talking about slaughtering, this is often misunderstoond in the West, but it has to done properly, i.e. minimum pain for the animal and most of the blood must be drained (like Jewish kosher/kasher).

If I am mistaken, Maha will correct me.And yes, I am a big fan of her. Asalaamoe aleikum, peace to you all.

  • @kemposoefi thank you!

  • I think you an amazing teacher :)

  • @3:30 the word you're looking for is 'COMpassionate':)

    Much love, bye.

  • Thank you Mahaa for this succint but engaging explanation. 3iid mubaarak to you too.

May I point out, by yourpermission, some small errors in your explanation for the benefit of the viewers:

@1:40 :'elder' DON'T Muslims have to make the pilgrimage, only those who're aSHaab un niSaab - wealthy(above a certain threshold).

@4:10 :the 3iid morning worship is not the highest degree of obligation (a 'must') i.e. farD, it is waajib-obligatory but skippable!

  • thnx for the information:)

i have a question? did you first speak arabic or hebrew? and what religion are you?

  • Well done!

If one is financially or physically unable to make the pilgrimage to Makkah, then you're exempt. Otherwise, at least once in your lifetime is required as you said. And you can go when you're younger also.

  • Not to belittle the beliefs of Islam, but it seems cruel to kill an innocent animal. It's nice to know it is put to good use feeding people in need though. Thank you for the lesson. I found it very interesting.

  • @BiowareNut hi, its not killing animal its Slaughter them in away that the animal dont feel any pain that Halal mean and its not diffrent than the meet that you buy in grocery store or turkey in thanksgiving

  • awesome

  • thank you very much for your great work! keep doing it as long as you can !
